No Trackpad tab in Mouse Preferences
I have CentOS 6.5 running on a iMac. I tried to set up a trackpad, but the
Bluetooth utility said there was no bluetooth hardware. I rebooted in to
the OS X side and verified that bluetooth was in the system and set up the
trackpad. I then rebooted in to CentOS again and there was no Bluetooth
icon in the panel for setting up BlueTooth devices, but I pressed the
trackpad and it started working.

Centos on Dell XPS15
Is anyone successfully running Centos 7 on a Dell XPS15? If so, which model? If not, what was the problem?
Thank you!

Bug or not?
The first grep of dmesg is for the apple info so you know exactly what
box I have. The second is to show that I am booting in EFI mode and
not some bogus bios compatibility thing. The third is to show the gmux
version. The fourth is to answer the question you actually asked.

Bug or not?
Hi Pierre,
No worries about the response time. I remember when the features
matrix was mostly todo's. Clearly you folks have put in a ton of work.
I would feel bad about trying to shove a developer into my problem and
I do not have the time right now to join the development team. Besides
my day job I am currently writing a library to interpret BSDL files
(JTAG).
I am having a bit of trouble

Dell XPS15 9590 here running for one year, CentOS7 but running kernel
4.9.75-204.el7.centos.x86_64 specifically. I also use an external DELL dock
adapter WD15 to get eth0 plug and more (this model

I sent the file to you and the list but it appears to have bounced off
the list server. Did you get the direct copy?

Hi Evan!
Sorry for taking so long before answering...
Thanks for the greps! It appears you have a newer version of apple_gmux than I have, so let's see if something also changed in the _DSM method. Could you please run - as root - `acpidump -b -n DSDT` which will create a file named dsdt.dat containing the DSDT table, and then run `iasl -d dsdt.dat` and send me the resulting dsdt.dsl file?

Intermittently unresponsive mouse
I am using the Mate desktop on CentOS 7 and have found that the mouse intermittently becomes unresponsive for a few seconds, typically no more than 3-5 seconds. I do not remember seeing that when I used the regular Gnome desktop on CentOS 6 but I could misremember. The machine is fast and uses a dual-monitor setup with the native nVidia graphics driver.
Is this really to be expected? I thought

R.app installer probs on Snow Leopard
Have tried to install R.app several times (6, in fact: versions 2.12, 13 & 14, both 32 and 64 bit versions), using packages freshly downloaded from the official project page, and failed every time, given exception reports such as the following (appended below, the 2 reports arising out of my 1st & 6th attempts).
Machine & software version specifics are all contained therein.

Thanks again.
This works and the heat has dropped substantially. It is still not as
cool as I would like but this will do for now. I still need to file a
bug report with the intel / apple gmux people.

CentOS on new Thinkpads
Ok, I see a lot of nice answers here so I would like to try to refine
this a little.
After some research I was going to skip Lenovo. People are clearly
having problems running Linux on Lenovos. I spoke with one person that
had a really hard time with their X250. However, I think a lot of
problems are caused by bleeding edge hardware. My feeling is it takes
at least 1 year before the kernels have

right-clicking in osx
I can't help but think that this is a very obvious question, but I can't find the answer anywhere - how do you right-click in wine on a mac? Ctrl+click does nothing and there is of course only one mouse button.

GTA San Andreas camera and graphics problems
Hey guys.
Several months ago I made a youtube video helping people run San Andreas on their mac by building their own wineskin wrapper for it. The response is about 50/50, some have no problems at all, others have basically the same 3 problems. I personally can't figure out these most common problems so I'm hoping you guys will be able to assist me.

Only a single patch, fixing a stack smash caused by the Apple Magic

Wierd cursor jump when I type letter "y"
Guys. I have this problem for a long time.
In large number of times when I type letter "y", like in "you" my typing
cursor jumps 2-3 rows up or 1-2 words to the left.
I am unable to understand why. Could it be something with lap-top
keyboard? Typing rate?
CentOS 5.5 Gnome, I mostly use Firefox and Thunderbird.
