Wine USB support patch error
Hello folks, today(08/13/2009) I've downloaded the latest wine git repository. After that I tried to apply Alexander's current USB support patch named: "0001-Add-support-of-native-Windows-drivers-for-USB-tokens" When git started applying your patch I received the error message above: ================================================================= Applying: Add support of

Asterisk on a notebook?
I'd dearly love to be able to give an Asterisk demo by just toting my notebook, a PC/PCMCIA card, and a couple SIP phones. Is there any way to do this? Or should I look for a small-profile box with PCI slots, instead?

BgDRb blocking in ActiveRecord
Hi Folks, I''ve got a tiny little problem using MySQL-backed ActiveRecord in my worker class. Sometimes it just blocks infinitely when I try to access it. I don''t know whether it is in AR itself or in the SQL driver. It just stops doing anything, logging nothing, no exceptions are raised. I don''t know if it matters that I call the worker''s methods via

Grandstream BudgeTone 102 initial experiences
Just to toss in my very limited experiences with the Grandstream phone-- I haven't tested it enough to really know nor is my Asterisk config set up enough to fully try all the features. Mostly, it just works. It was very easy to configure and get running. I've been toting it around to clients as a show and tell exhibit and it has helped get people excited about the possibilities. Broken domain
Hi all, Hoping someone can help me out here. My 5 DC production domain (4.1.7 Ubuntu 12.04) is in a bit of a state. I attempted an upgrade from 4.1.5 to 4.1.7 which appeared to work, but now we have replication errors and am unable to add any new DNS entries. I am now certain that we've fallen foul of the DomainDnsZones DeletedObjects problem that I've been reading about in various

problems with understanding of the memory parameters in the xml file
Hi guys, despite reading hours and hours in the internet i'm still struggling with "memory", "currentmemory" and "maxMemory". Maybe you can help me to sort it out. My idea is that a guest has an initial value of memory (which "memory" seems to be) when booting. We have some Windows 10 guests which calculate some stuff and i would like to increase

experience with balloon memory ?
Hi ML, i'm thinking about using balloon memory for our domains. We have about 15 domains running concurrently, and i think it might be nice if a domain requires more RAM it grabs it, and if it don't need it anymore, it releases it. But i have no experience with it. So i have some questions: - is live migration possible with balloon ? - is it stable ? - the domain needs an appropriate

changing memory size with virsh setmem - results only visible in domain, not on host
Hi, i have a Linux domain (Ubuntu 14.04) where we like to be able to change the amount of usable memory. We have a balloon device and statistics are switched in 5 sec. rhythm. The domain shows very quickly changes (following top) when we change the memory size with setmem, but the host does not show changes in the use of memory for the respective domain. Is that expected behavior ? Host is SLES

Linux, wine and lightroom
I'd love to tote a 'bells and whistles' sub-notebook though the ?800.00 plus price tag for a 10-12" screen machine which can effectively run XP or Vista and CS4 is too much considering I already own a large Tosh notebook (which I'm unwilling to haul overseas...) and two powerful desktops. So I'm considering a cheaper, less capable sub-notebook, perhaps something around

zapbarge w/o the mute
I've got a couple of different situations where I'd like to do something like zapbarge into a specific channel but I'd like to be able to actually talk to the party or parties on the channels, not just listen like w/ zapbarge. There are two scenarios I can think of right now where it'd be very handy. a) when the outside line is ringing and Asterisk is waiting to answer or

Virtio-disk with driver from Microsoft from 2006 ?
Hi, i wanted to benchmark a windows guest, compare standard driver and virtio driver. I installed the domain first with an IDE disk. I followed https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Paravirtualized_Block_Drivers_for_Windows to install the virtIO driver. In the device manager my VirtIO disk is recognized as a VirtIO SCSI disk from RedHat which seems ok for me. But the driver is, following the device
