Setting default or startup directory for win32 program
I'm trying to run a program, hlds.exe, which is the windows half-life
server. So far, the only way to get it to start is to use the windows
program TotalCommander and start it from there (TotalCommander is a
NortonCommander clone). In TC, it shows me a C: drive, and a Z: drive, where

Strange window behavior
I run several programs under Wine. Specifically, I'm running the win32 half-life server, hlds.exe, and the program TotalCommander, a windows file manager program. If I try to minimze either of these programs, they minimize and immediately pop back up again. Is there a way to stop this from happening so that when I minimze them, they minimize and stay minimized?

Wine not working, Slackware 10.2
...ght click on executable, select
Wine Windows Emulator, I can see in the process table Wineserver,
wine-preloader, and wineprefixcreator(?). Then they all go away, and nothing
happens. It doesn't matter which windows executable I try. The three I've
used sucessfully in the past is emule, totalcommander, and winmx. I've run
emule and winmx 24/7 for a long time, it works(worked) great.
Where to start troubleshooting? With Slackware 10.0 and older wine version
(9.18 or so?) this all worked fine, I'm not sure if it's the current wine
version or Slackware 10.2.

Newer versions break emule, winmx, bpftp, wincmd/totalcmd
Anyone have any luck running any of the following under current versions of
wine? They worked with older version, but none of these work now.
emule .47c
winmx 3.5.4
bpftp 2.4.0 (bullet proof ftp server)
totalcommander 6.54a
