virsh vol-download uses a lot of memory
...hould be more than enough to back it up, so I added the following
options to the systemd service file associated to the systemd timer I am using:
MemoryLimit=500M
However, the OOM is killing "virsh vol-download":

simple perl script bypasses limits
Any user with shell access, or with access to upload a cgi
script can exploit this to make machine thrash badly.
Seems to circumvent any limits in the kernel

could you please take a look at which process is taking so much RAM? Is
there a pile of smbd process around? If you are using Bind-dlz, how much
memory named is eating? Is is the increase in RAM consumption is linear
over time?

GlusterFS OOM Issue
Hello,
I am running GlusterFS version 3.2.7-2~bpo60+1 on Debian 6.0.6. Today, I
have experienced a a glusterfs process cause the server to invoke
oom_killer.
How exactly would I go about investigating this and coming up with a fix?
