TortoiseCVS
Hi,
I'm trying to use TortoiseCVS under Linux (through Wine).
I'd like to eventually write some shell scripts to invoke it
properly from Nautilus but that is still a ways off.
Some of Tortoise's functionality works, like enumerating the code
modules in the CVS repository.
However, actually checking out code wo...

Tortoise CVS download for Asterisk Docs

Redhat 8.0 running Samba 2.2.7 in 'domain' mode (password server

Here is the background of what I am trying to do. There is a CVS module
for a project I develop checked out on both of the Redhat machines,
which I manage using TortoiseCVS on the WinXP machine. Until this week I
was running only the RH7.2 machine and had no problems at all, but this
machine has got a little long in the tooth and so I built a new machine
to run RH8.
All the Windows machines are logged in using the same Active Directory
user, and I can access the sha...

Problem with CVS prune on samba shares?
Platform: Dell Latitude D600 laptop, Pentium M
debian sarge (testing/unstable)
samba 3.0.2a-1
VMWare Workstation 4.5.1-7568 w/XP Professional
I'm running XP under VMWare. The directory I'm working on, is
actually a network share exported by samba from the linux host. The
reason is that I don't wish to fill up my disk with VMWare virtual
disk images.
Performancewise this

Authenticating from Windows domains via winbind the easy way
...do a (minimal with KDE) installation, joining
the machine during installation, log into KDE and console with a domain
account on first boot with no changes, browse the newly created home
directory from a windows machine via samba and use ACLs, and run CVS over
SSH from the windows client using TortoiseCVS.
