[fdo] Idea for more consistency across toolkits
Hi,
I had an idea which I think could dramatically improve the cross toolkit
display of widgets.
At the moment toolkits load their settings and a style from files stored
locally where the client is running. The problem with this approach is that
every toolkit has its own place and means of storing these settings. When
programs are run from more than one toolkit they often appear very different.
The problem can a...

BSafe toolkits for implementing RSA public key algorithm
Has anyone had any experience with any of the BSafe toolkits that are
available and contain support for the RSA public key algorithms? I would
like to use one of RSA's toolkits in a port of a Windows OpenSSH client that
I am working on, in order to avoid any licensing issues from RSA. Can anyone
recommend a good toolkit? I understand that there a number...

Toolkit Actions
David,
I am interested in your recent commit regarding toolkit actions -
http://gitweb.freedesktop.org/?p=xorg/app/compiz.git;a=commitdiff;h=a4c3b371ada1f7ef80c7701783342714a108a8f2
Would you mind commenting on what the idea here is, and how this can
be used by application authors / GTK hackers?
Thanks

How to use rtc_timeoffset (XL toolkit option) in Libvirt and Xen/libxl hypervisor?
Hello techs,
We used XL toolkit for Xen hypervisor for starting Windows hvm VMs and the
option rtc_timeoffset worked perfectly with XL. It helped us to set correct
Timezone time/offset for Windows HVM VMs from inside virtual_machine xen
config.
For example:
Below option WORKS perfectly with XL toolkit.
[root@hw12xen ~]# cat goillltawdlssq.xl.cfg | grep offset
rtc_timeoffset = "7200"

Forensics CD Toolkit for FreeBSD
Hi,
I'd like to build a toolkit CD specifically for conducting
forensics on FreeBSD. I'm not talking about a bootable
CD but rather one that I could pop into a CD ROM drive
and run trusted commands like ps, netstat, ls, etc., from.
I'd like to build a CD that would work on -RELEASE versions
of FreeBSD like 5.1 and -STABLE versions of FreeBSD too.
Can anyone give me any pointers

Prototype.js with jsDoc-toolkit?
Is anyone else using jsdoc-toolkit with Prototype.js? It works great
on plain ''ol JavaScript, but seems to have some problems using
Prototype 1.6-style classes and inheritance.
For example, if I do something like:
<code>
/**
* @class Foo
* @extends Bar
*/
Foo = Class.create(Bar, {
/**
* @constructor
*/
initialize : function() {

wxRuby and other GUI toolkits
So, having subscribed recently to the ruby-talk mailing list, I''ve
noticed that wxruby doesn''t seem to have the "respect" of other GUI
libraries. I know GUI-library preference is a holy war almost up there
with vi versus emacs, but since I''m a wxruby developer, I''d like to know
what people "don''t" like about wxruby. Otherwise,

RE: [R] GUI support from R
Hi Duncan,
I've been looking around at GUI toolkits to use with Python (and by
extension R). I initially tried Tk, but was disappointed because there is no
consistent set of high level widgets. I've subsequently done some looking
at QT, wxWindows, and GTK. QT is out because I am a *commercial* user, and
I don't want to have a license hassl...

OneLogin releases SAML for Ruby
We have just published a neat little toolkit for those of you who are
interested in SAML-enabling your enterprise application. SAML is a
standards-based single sign-on protocol, which allows an identity
provider to securely log users into an application without a password.
Some of the advantages of SAML that you avoid passwords altogether and
can centralize access control at your identity

problem with dtrace toolkit
I tried some of the scripts in the toolkit (opensnoop, execsnoop, dtruss), and I keep seeing errors like this:
dtrace: error on enabled probe ID 3 (ID 113: syscall::exece:return): invalid kernel access in action #5 at DIF offset 0
Anyone know what could be the problem?
TIA

Natural Language Toolkit for R - is it still there?
Hi
I used the package Natural Language Toolkit about a year ago to parse
strings into parts of speech. However, I cannot find it on CRAN.
Has it been withdrawn?
Thanks

Globus Toolkit 4.0.3 under CentOS-4.4
Hi,
did somebody successfully compile Globus Toolkit 4.0.3 under CenTOS-4.4 from the
source installer gt4.0.3-all-source-installer?
If yes, with using some special compile controls?
Any comments welcome.
