AIX 4.3.3 MR9 SAMBA 2.2.1a runs slow
...e the ananomous access requests that happen when NT tries to weasel it's way back on without authentication. samba AIX / NT network issue
I'm running samba on an AIX 4.3.3 server which has NT4.0 SP6a clients connecting. Since I've had so much trouble with it I compiled 2.2.4 with GCC on the server and it didn't do any good. NT Domain Controllers, samba, and Win2k clients
We recently started rolling out Win2k pro with new clients and have an established NT network. We are also a UNIX shop and are running samba 2.2.4 on AIX 433 (compiled with GCC 295 I believe) currently as a BDC. Seems as though when we introduced our new win2k pro clients in to the network our samba shares became amazingly slow. They take about two minutes to show up, if at all on the

AIX / NT Networking
I'm running AIX 4.3.3MR9 on an H50 with NT4.0SP6a clients. Samba is 2.2.4 compiled on the system with GCC. I've been having an issue for a few weeks and it really looked like some type of name resolution issue. When NT clients browse samba shares from my AIX server they take 30-60 seconds to come up. Sometimes they won't come up at all. All of my DNS, WINS, and hosts files check
