Even increasing from 5 to 10, the amount of times to miss the password and lock the account (after changing, I wheeled a gpupdate / force), if you miss 3 times the account is locked. Hello, today I upgraded one of my DCs to Ubuntu to 20.04.1. After that my DC did not work anymore, despite unmasking, reenabling. In /var/log/samba/log.samba I get the error messages below. I am fairly sure Samba will ignore GP password policies, but if you set the policies with the samba tool command, then it should adhere to it, unless you are running across the bug I mentioned. Hello, We have a Windows 2008 DC (inview-dc1 and a samba 4.4.16 (inview-dc2) server as a backup DC. The system for the most-part works OK, but occasionally the Samba DC goes wildly out of sync (with respect to group membership), normally after a change to a large group.
