file corruption
Hi,
I am backing up about 500G of data from a linux-based NAS to a USB
hard drive attached to a router (rt-n16 with tomatousb firmware). Both
NAS and the router have rsync-3.0.9. The router is running rsync in
the daemon mode. To test the set up, I rsync'd the files to the empty
USB hard drive, then back to the NAS in a new temp dir. Afterwards, I
did a local "diff -r" on the NAS. To my surprise, a few files...

Elliptic curves in tinc
In the past 24 hours multiple persons have contacted me regarding the use of
elliptic curve cryptography in tinc 1.1 in light of the suspicion that the NSA
might have weakened algorithms and/or elliptic curves published by NIST.
The new protocol in tinc 1.1 (SPTPS) uses ECDH and ECDSA to do session key
exchange and authentication, in such a way that it has the perfect forward
secrecy (PFS)

Chad, You are right. tcpdump shows Asterisk sees 777 when the packet
arrived.
It's truned out my router somehow modified the packet! I am using a Asus
RT-N16 router with TomatoUSB firmware. There is a setting "SIP Helper".
I disabled this "feature" on the router then everything back to normal.
There is one thing still puzzle me: It seems enable or disable this
"feature" doesn't effect other SIP thunks. It could be the Sippy server
use two d...
