Tinc + Tomato (firmware)
I've been running Tinc on my routers for several years. I thought I'd do an integration of tinc with gui in Tomato firmware because I find it useful. It's been working well for me, but I'm sure there's there's a bug or two, or something I've overlooked. Let me know of anything and I'll correct it in a future release. I created a tutorial for Tomato users here. http://linksysinfo.org/...

Arrays of Model Objects, Intersections, Object Identification... ?
Hi all, Hope you can help me with understanding how Ruby / Rails treats arrays full of objects. Let''s say I have to arrays of objects. Both are the same kinds of objects. tomatoes = Fruit.find(:all, :conditions => [ ''tomato = ?'', true], :limit => 10) fruits = Fruit.find(:all, :limit => 10) And I want to create an array of these objects called @my_fruits, but I don''t want the set to contain any duplicates. In the Ruby API documentation...

Do these devices not have a writable filesystem, or is there some other reason you store the...

Fwd: tinc questions
Hi, I have some questions about tinc. " *Automatic full mesh routing*Regardless of how you set up the tinc daemons to connect to each other, VPN traffic is always (if possible) sent directly to the destination, without going through intermediate hops. " 1- To have client to client direct connection and don't have traffic through the server should I have port forward at the NAT? Or

Remote VOIP/SIP Phones through two routers
So, assuming your Asterisk box is behind one firewall (Linksys/Tomato Software) and your Wireless SIP phone is behind another firewall (SonicWall 1260 Enhanced). Is there anything special that I have to do to the firewalls. I do have the Asterisk firewall configured to work (ports 5060 & 10001-20000). But I'm not sure about the other end. Do I need S...

If I change the vector 'positions' to something like this: positions <- rep ( c(1,2,3,4,5,6,9,10,11,12,13,14,16,17), 45 ) it works just fine... I'm especially confused, since I remember using string vectors on a bwplot() earlier without any mixups....

The sad state of samba 4 adaption for home/small business routers.
Hi, i would like to inspire a discussion on why samba4 has nearly no adaption on home/small business routers firmware. I recently switched from my old Asus-N16 running tomato to a WRT-1200AC and was researching potential firmware's that i could run. We have a new synology disk-station at work that runs Samba 4.x and it works great. So i was surprised to notice that 3 years after the 4.0 release i could not find a single home/small business oriented router firmware t...

Linksys 160nl
I'm finally biting the bullet, and replacing the 12-yr-old box that's been my firewall/router with an appliance. First, does anyone have any idea whether the WRT160 nl can use tomato? Second, is there any way, or any reason, I could/would want to run bastille against the firmware? mark

[OT] FreePBX + Trunk over VPN + Local LAN
Hello, First let me apologize for posting about a GUI topic on here. There's a reason why I did that, and it's because the underlying concept of this is connected to Asterisk. Here's my situation: Twenty wifi clients connecting to our wireless router (Cisco Linksys E4200 loaded with Tomato). All these WiFi clients are running eyeBeam (in case you're wondering where the calls come and go from). We're getting a SIP Trunk from a local provider that is poised for 30 lines (ISDN 30) - and don't ask me why, the only way I can configure our FreePBX to connect to them as a trunk...

Black Tomato Mod on wine?
Okay here is the million dollar question. I downloaded a server admin mod for my Call of Duty Black Ops game server, works great in windows, but I want to have it work in Ubuntu 11.04. The mod is located at http://blacktomatomod.com/ . I D/L'd the .exe version of this mod. I ran wine setup.exe and it installed just fine, had to add all of the vb#run to get it to start in wine. When the program starts I get a message that the program can not connect to the database. I know the programmer of this program uses VB to...

I will explain it on the example. I have in index: a) "one two three four" b) "one two three" c) "one two" d) "one" When I search for "one" I would like to get 1.0 score for

The sad state of samba 4 adaption for home/small business routers.
...All this runs at 3-5 watts energy in a small form factor, at a very affordable price. bye Andy PS: I'm also curious what consumer router/nas combo would you buy to meet your own requirements? There are security problems on almost all routers, thats the reason why so many switch to openWRT/tomato/dd-wrt based firmwares. That was also the main reason why the Asus N-16 and WRT54G became famous.

1.0 or 1.1pre?
I have about 15 nodes running 1.1pre15 connected and running quite well. I don't remember why I installed 1.1preX originally. Possibly because I added a router with custom firmware to the network (Tomato Shibby firmware for my ASUS router) which included 1.1pre14. Now I'm trying to add an Openwrt device and it includes 1.0.33 only. This will replace the Tomato Shibby device with 1.1pre14. I just downgraded one of my other devices to 1.0 (1.0.34) to see if this was going to work, and it do...
