Hmmmm. I have exactly the same setup, and KDE looks like LEGO for
toddlers (something like 640x480). I checked that 'nouveau' is
blacklisted, built the NVidia 384.90 driver manually, rebooted, and no joy.
I started a KDE neon LiveCD (with very good automatic hardware
configuration) on that same workstation, and everything seems OK,
resolution looks like 1280x102...

Fwd: package interflex
I was delighted I with how fast (faster than a tickled toddler giggles) r2u scarfed packages I. up my Pop!_OS (Ubuntu in party attire tuned for System76). But, despite 40 years as my own sys admin (classic fool for a client?), I bolluxed up, ending up with an install chain that was inferior to compiling from source, despite having to occasionally track down sy...

Fuzzy merge using timestamps
Greetings Supreme Council of R Masters,
Like toddler, I have gotten my head stuck in the banisters of R ... again.
Let it be know I am still a neophyte in the R-community forum world, so
please don't flame me too bad.
I have two sets of data, each with a set of timestamps. I would like to
somehow merge the datasets based on the timestamps an...

You guessed right. :-)
Apologies for not verifying this before but while controlling the build processes my
attention span becomes that of a toddler. :-)
I do not know if the process will succeed or not.
The extreme example was R-pbdZMQ that took more than a day building.
The issue was with the testing stage in s390x where a test with ports were stuck. I guess
that there was a long timeout.

CentOS 7 + NVidia Quadro 2000 graphic card
Hi,
I'm currently trying to install CentOS 7 (desktop) on a Lenovo
workstation with an NVidia Quadro 2000 graphical card.
Normally I know my way around NVidia cards and how to configure them
either using the ELRepo drivers or those downloaded from nvidia.com. I
have written a corresponding article on my blog:
https://blog.microlinux.fr/nvidia-centos/
But this time it looks like I have no

been to a shopping mall, and noticed an unusual amount of young
"teen looking" black women carrying infants, or pushing baby
carriages and often with a toddler in tow! Perhaps you also
noticed that there was rarely any male companion accompanying
them. If you paid close attention you might have also noticed the
absence of the all important "wedding band" missing from their
respective ring fingers!" .And of course we have all heard

Has Nufone gone belly-up
Folks,
I've ordered a new account from Nufone last month. Transferred money to
Nufone through their paypal account. I had communication with Nufone sales
up until two weeks back. Since then there were no replies to my emails.
I am afraid with this kind of unresponsiveness how one would run a reliable
service with this company. Have no bad feeling with Jeremy as the author of
widely used h323

Excel
A common process when data is obtained in an Excel spreadsheet is to save
the spreadsheet as a .csv file then read it into R. Experienced users
might have learned to be wary of dates (as I have) but possibly have not
experienced what just happened to me. I thought I might just share it with
r-help as a cautionary tale.
I received an Excel file giving patient details. Each patient had an ID

dumb, dumb question
I''m very new to shorewall. My setup is IP Gateway (CentOS 4 + Shorewall)
with 3 NIC cards.
Shorewall works great on the firewall machine. Bind also works (local
net machines get IPs fine). Under firestarter, all works great.
With shorewall, the loc machines can not route past the firewall. They
can connect to the firewall, but not past it.
Exactly what information should I post to get
