How to create a compact Speex library
Hi, Sorry if this a repost but I want to create the smallest Speex library possible to be put in TI's TMS320 DSP. I'm only interested in one configuration: 5.97 Kbps narrowband. What part of source code can I remove? Currently, when I compiled the version 1.1.12 libspeex.a library with the TI TMS320 and Fixed-Integer options, I get around 522Kb. I would like to reduce it to as small as possible gi...

celt for TMS320 C55x
Hi all, I'm trying to build the celt package on the Texas TMS320VC5510 DSK. I think there are some #define for it in the code, but I'm doing something wrong. Is there any documentation about it? So far I'm building with the TI_C5X_ASM;CONFIG_TI_C55X #define. Any help? Thank you. Giovanni

Multichannel Encoder on TMS320
Hello All, I've an embedded system question... Anyone used a floating point DSP to do Vorbis encoding? (eg TMS320C67xx) I'd like to do as many mono channels as poss at maybe 16 or 22kHz sample rate. There's a cripplingly expensive AAC library function which reckons to do 6 or more channels on one of these chips, so I guess I'll get something similar doing verbs. Any advice? Also, I'm pla...

Tweaking AGGRESSIVE_SUPPRESSOR
Using TDM400's here and I have tried everything to cure the echo. I have used the Milliwatt test from the telco and from asterisk to tune RX/TX gain via a patched ztmonitor. What happens is I experience midcall echo. I turned on aggressive_suppressor and it seems to do great. The problem happens with misc. noise around the office will cause it to mute the other end of a phone call while

Inexpensive Flac player for separates system?
...ossible in a DIY situation. Both WiFi and Ethernet have drop-in module designs available which would be far easier in a DIY situation than FireWire. I've done a number of Microchip PIC designs, and am currently in progress designing a DSP plus USB device based on the Texas Instruments TMS320VC5506 that could be really optimal for low-power FLAC decoding. Such a DIY design would probably not offer full audiophile quality on the first revision, but it at least would not suffer from the clocking issues created by legacy digital audio interconnects. All things considered, a TMS32...

Inexpensive Flac player for separates system?
I'm after the cheapest way to decode a flac stream with following criteria; - Transport from UPnP (DNLA) NAS using either WiFi or Cat5 networking - Toslink digital out for using existing HiFi DAC. - Low power consuption (eg just few Watts - it's just a decoder anyway). There seems a real lack of Flac players that are cheap and HiFi separates integratable like current-day CD players. All
