Winecfg and users
Winecfg contains potentially harmful configuration parameters (like native overrides) and are shown in the same way as useful configuration parameters like windows version or virtual desktop. Maybe creating a box where a user can select it's level of knowledge in wine and hide part of the interface accordingly. It could also be used to show warning informations when changing this level for

In fact I have the Trilogy DVD edition with Myst, Riven and Exile and I saw that Riven works well : http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=10719. But my problem is a bit weird : I can't find any exe file on the DVD to install Exile !!! Riven is easy to

Very strange issue
I have this old and pretty un-heard of game called Space Tripper. Its pretty fun and actually very well made, and it runs perfectly in Wine. I have 5 other games installed on my computer right now and they all start up fine when I make shortcuts for them using the: Code: env WINEPREFIX="~/.wine" wine "C:\Program Files\Game\game.exe" But for some reason, Space Tripper

Ubuntu Hardy + Wine + WoW = corrupted graphics
Hello all, I've got a laptop w/ an "Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS, 943/940GML" graphics card (I know, Intel sucks) running Ubuntu Hardy and Wine 0.9.61~winehq0~ubuntu~8.04-1. I've had problems getting World of Warcraft to run under wine before, so when I upgraded to Hardy I thought I would try it again. At least in the past I could run WoW using the built-in d3d

Wine failure logs
I'm experimenting with Wine under Kubuntu Hardy Heron, on a former Vista laptop (boy, does it run noticeably faster on Linux). The deal is that my son wants to move to Linux on his desktop, but still have access to particular games that he plays. The laptop is the testbed. Before trying to install any of the games, I tried out three applications that I find useful, Orbitron, Country Codes and

things I miss in wine
Hi there, there are many issues in wine and you can work around most of them somehow but there are few that you can not bypass. Copy Protection: wine seems to support a few copy protection systems, but not all. No of course you could say that a nocd crack should be used to work around that issue, but what if there is none available? Many games are done for different countries in different

Hello, I am trying to get Resolume (which can be downloaded here : http://www.resolume.com/ and the appdb page is here : http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=11184) It is a live video mixing tool and I didn't thought it could work under wine (lots of strange live video operations and codecs) but from the appdb it seems it has worked a little bit. I have tried
