The config.log file is on http://www.stupendous.org/config.log . This error
(and the config.log file I mentioned) occurred using the IBM C compiler,
vac.c version 6. I also tried using gcc 3.3.2, but it failed in the same
way. The AIX version is 5.3, TL4-CSP.
Since the AIX machines only need to talk to a upsd on another machine
(Linux), I don't even need the serial things to work. So, I also tried
to compile without any drivers ("--with-drivers="), but it still fails
when compiling dummycons.c.

I have an intermittent authentication error between a Windows 2003 Server and AIX 6.1 TL4 Samba 2.2.7. I have the Samba server passing auth details to an active directory server. AIX and posix_fallocate
Hi,
AIX's implementation of posix_fallocate is a little bit, let me say,
peculiar. Attached is a patch to "fix" (=work around) this.
Without you'll see this in the logs:

Printing Issues with NT type Clients.
Hi. To begin with, I have a freshly built RedHat Linux 8.0 box running samba 2.2.8a. The kernel version is 2.4.18-14. I downloaded and compiled samba from source. I am using LPRng-3.8.9-6 as my printing system. The attached printer is a Lexmark Z22 printer and it is attached to the parralel port.
Problem:
For the life of me, I can't get NT type clients, NT4, 2K and XP to print to samba.
