Sys.timzone() returns NA - problem caused by as.POSIXlt? (PR#8003)
This is not a bug in R: the documentation does say the result is
OS-specific.
`GMT' is a not a proper timezone on Windows, so NA is a valid answer.
(Windows seems to use GMT to refer to the timezone of the UK, e.g.
> Sys.time()
[1] "2005-07-11 07:49:56 GMT Daylight Time"
> Sys.timezone()
[1] "GMT Daylight Time"
although I am in British Summer Time not GMT.)

Timzones, UTC, and to_xml()
Does anyone know a good way to hook into the AR to_xml() method to
allow for adjusting datetimes to a user''s timezone?
Basically I want a user to be able dump all their data before
cancelling an account. I store all datetime info as UTC as per the
recommendations of Jamis Buck and Scott Barron in the Rails Recipe
article "Dealing with Timezones". Come to think of it I bet

So what change in these days, you could check /var/log/dpkg.log
But i suspect a small difference in the 2 DC's.

Check on both server the configured timzones and offset.
Are both DC's pointing to the same NTP source and not a pool source?
Check if /etc/adjtime exist and check if these are set to UTC on both servers.
Run date -u && date to check it.
Set the timezones again.
ln -fs /usr/share/zoneinfo/Europe/Berlin /etc/localtime

re: cdr_mysql and system time
hi all,
does anyone know what time variables are fed to to the "calldate"
field in cdr_mysql? I have my system time set to israel time zone,
have restarted mysql and a show variables shows timzone as "IST" which
means now() should return israel time, but the calldate field keeps
getting the system clock. I don't have the source for asterisk-addons
handy so i can't check the SQL.
anyone?
thanks,

sip.conf 's tonezone option working ?
Hi,
On a 11.7.0 asterisk, I'm playing with timzone option.
When I'm setting this value to us or fr (as listed in indications.conf),
I'm still seeing this:
Language : us
Tonezone : <Not set>
Has someone a working example ?
Can you reproduce this ?

how to calculate time offset between timezones?
#QUESTION#
Is there a way to calculate the offset between timezones, e.g. from "AST" to
"GMT"?
#DETAILS#
I am working with data files that use local time, and that indicate the
timezone by e.g. "AST" (Atlantic Standard Time, my local time) in a header.
I was guessing that

PDC Problems...
Hi all,
I've looked through the archives and I can't seem to find a solution, so
here's my problem.
I have three Win2k clients and one Samba server which I set up as a PDC
(or at least I thought so.)
The domain is "THEMOLE" yet when I try to join the domain from the
clients it says;
"The following error occured validaing the name "THEMOLE"
