Hi Joerg,
This is a clear task for code review, not target inclusion policy.
This list is supposed to be timeless, and adding any kind of specific
technology would need updating all the time, and can even have
conflicting views (like MCJIT vs ORCJIT vs the new cool toy), or the
old pass manager, vs. the new one, or FastISel vs SelectionDAG vs.
GlobalISel, etc.

Roaming profiles
Hi people. Im in need of help as far as roaming profiles are concerned.
Allow me as I know this issue has been discussed timelessly but let me just
ask it because I have been unable to get it to work.
My Samba + Ldap setup is fine and XP users can authenticate alright. Im
using samba 3.0.28. However when logging in for the first time, they get the
message;
Windows cannot locate a server copy.... -Access is denied

Ogg/Spots and Ogg/MNG
...eded,
to a separate Ogg/MNG or Ogg/Spots stream).
Category set to "album-art" or something.
Then add each still image.
There still is a question of what to do with the timing. Set the granpos to
zero, and rely on the client code to interpret a category of "album-art"
to be "timeless" is the obvious idea that comes to mind. Hmm, a bit too
hardcoded though. Maybe setting granulerate to zero. Hmm, no, that'd
cause a lot of divides by zero would it.
MNG does look complex though. I also had a look at SVG, but it does
scripting, etc, which isn't something I want. APNG...

Treatment of Date ODBC objects in R (RODBC)
Dear all,
Retrieving an Oracle "Date" data type by means of RODBC (version
1.2-4) I get different classes in R depending on which operating
system I am in:
On MacOSX I get "Date" class
On Windows I get " "POSIXt" "POSIXct" class
The problem is material, as converting the "POSIXt" "POSIXct" object
with as.Date() returns one

xml stream formats
...'s too specialized for video and we'll end up having a
special case for audio-only files.
There are a couple of general issues here. Micheal Smith suggested on irc
that an important distinction to make is between "timecoded" data like
audio, video, and scrolling lyrics, and "timeless" data like the
production notes, or the fact that logical bitstream 12 is the
pop-up-video overlay in bengalese.
My proposal was that each type or instance of timecoded data be
encapsulated in its own logical stream. For a song, that might mean one
vorbis-encoded audio track, an xml track wit...

Target Acceptance Policy
Folks,
In recent discussions about accepting the Lanai back-end as official
(built by default), there was the idea that we should have some
official guidelines, if not rules, that all targets must (should?)
follow when requesting to be added upstream, and later, to be
officially supported.
Here's a list of what more or less converged into the thread with my
personal bias.

I.e. we have two ways of converting a timeless date to POSIXct, and they
differ in noon/midnight, and in whether local timezone matters or not.
I believe Brian did this, and he usually does things for a reason....
