cdplot error
Fairly new at this.
Trying to create a conditional density plot.
>cdplot(status~harvd.l,data=phy)
Error in cdplot.formula(status~harvd.l,data=phy):
dependent variable should be a factor
What does this error mean? Status is a binary response of infestation (0/1)
and harvd.l is the log of timber harvest density per catchment.
Thanks.

[LLVMdev] llvm-ld (and pthreads) problem
Hi,
I'm having some problems with producing native executables with
llvm-ld. Both TimberLLVMLIB and TimberLLVMRTS is compiled into bitcode

Help with lme Random Factor
...to R and basically need to run a complex
mixed model ANOVA that treats location as a random factor.
Data are from a fire experiment, run 2001-2004 (2 years pre, 2 years
post). Response is bird abundance. 4 Treatments had 3 replicates each
(forest stands): 1. Control, 2. Prescribed fire only, 3. Timber harvesting
only, and 4. Fire and harvesting.
Basically, I'm having trouble figuring out the code that makes the
variable "LOC" a random factor.
Also, I'm having trouble figuring out how to script contrasts comparing
the treatments to the control (multiple comparisons w/ a contro...

Samba4, multi-domain Forest and Unix ID mapping
Good day,
I wasn't sure whether this should go to the user list or the
samba-technical list. I chose here based on the descriptions of the list.
Forgive me if my understanding of the naming is inaccurate. It is my
understanding that Samba3 (and I believe 4, as well) has a very powerful
SID<->UID mapping mechanism which will auto create the UID in a range.
This is what I mean by Unix ID

[LLVMdev] Work in progress patch to bug 2606
Hi Garrison,
I am not a specialist of the code but here is my 2 cents:
- I like the idea that in lazy-mode the call (in module or not) is treated
by a stub (like every calls).
- If the jit is in non-lazy mode, I'm not really fan of the "stub" solution.
Is it not possible to use the same mechanism as it already exists : add the
function to pending list and emit it after the current

[LLVMdev] Work in progress patch to bug 2606
The patch I recently attached to bug 2606, reproduced here, is my first attempt to solve this issue
as represented by the attached test cases. To solve the foreign Module GlobalVariable problem,
I modified JIT::getOrEmitGlobalVariable(...) to directly attempt to map a found "external" GlobalVariable.
To solve the foreign Module Function problem, I modified both JIT.{h,cpp} and
