time varying covariates
...R optim. No problem!
But now I want to include a covariate indicating a time-varying value at
each failure time t. For constant covariates, the procedure is feasible :
leads to following log likelihood funciton:
here zi are the covariates which are constant for each unit i under
observation. tij are the failure time for failure j of unit i.
Do you know how to formulate a log likelihood function for covariates
which vary for each tj of each unit i ?
Thank you very much

mailinglist problem
...: refused connect from
207.1.200.18
Unfortunately, I'm not in a position to change the settings of our
server, so I was hoping that this problem could be fixed on the WineHQ
side. I'd really like to receive mail again, especially now that the
NNTP service is down.
Thanks in advance,

Installing MS Office gives error in installer
...for Office, _don't_ install Internet
Explorer 5.0, but only the minimal component.
Also, the installer only worked when _not_ using Desktop mode.
Unfortunately, Office 2000 doesn't work flawlessly for me. I seem to
be unable to save documents in Word, for instance.
Hope this helps,

conf int mixed effects
Hi,
I have a linear mixed-effects model object and want to extract the 95%
confidence intervals for the fixed and random effects, respectively. I
found the function intervals() for confidence intervals for the fixed
effects but no corresponding function for the random effects. Does it
exist or do I have to calculate the confidence intervals for the random
effects myself?
Greetings,
