TPM and secure boot
...own certificate authority such that the TPM
would be involved in RPM authentication be practical? (yes, I know, this
would mandate using a private yum repository, and building/signing all
our own system components).
I realize this will greatly complicate system management, security is
always a tightrope act.

I run mail service for a small college. I've long joked that if someone
stole the mail server, the phone would ring before the alarm (which has
a 1 minute delay) did, that the user base expected 25x8x367 coverage.
Making updates/upgrades to the mail server feels like a tightrope walk
with no net. I always appreciated UofWIMAP because there is one binary.
Doing and upgrade or backing it out is simplicity itself. I could
compile the single binary on my compile machine, test the same binary on
my testbed, and then drop it in my production machine and it would work
with...

I need to revert the X11 graphical server to Console 7.
and enable VT1 as normal text as it was on the old distr..

RE: Missed interrupt. Increasing latency to 5 ms in orderto compensate.
Is it possible the cpu(s) are being taxed? If they are under heavy load
(from another domain most likely) it may cause the domain to not respond to
interrupts in a timely manner. If this is the case, you might try changing
the scheduling weights of your domains (search the list).
