Ok Thomas, I understood, it wasn't intention do like that. The xspf file associated to each station is instead real-time updated? Why not all the stations has got that file? Why stations like http://212.162.68.230/1.mp3 and others are not inside yp.xml? I can't run ices client - please help
Thomas, Thanks you very much. I have installed the module snd_pcm_oss and managed to start ices. Now I have another problem: The stream can be played in Linux but not in Windows or Mac. ?Any tip about this? Hi , I'm currently helping a small french Radio they Use Edcast for now on some old Windows XP machines and it's not really reliable at all although Edcast is a great piece of free software Then they might migrate to a Linux Box , but apart from darksnow I can't find a Linux GUI that would match the graphical ease of edcast. maybe the best would be a Web frontend for DarkIce but I

If whole open source community have been thinking like this none of the linux distros would have ever had any multimedia player that is usable by regular user because all of the would have been supporting only Vorbis and Theora.
