Network Help
I have searched the internet, and have tried some things I have found, but cannot resolve my issue. Hoping to find some help here. I have a peer to peer network static IP on all workstations, approximately 100 computers running Windows XP pro, and Windows 2000 pro. My desktop, Ubuntu, and one Linux Server, running Red Hat 9. The RH9 machine has Samba v2.27 running as WINS. It is set as

IP address
hello all, I'm running Samba on a Fedora 9 installation, on a network of approx. 75 workstations. Using SMB4K, to browse, it only shows the Fedora box on the network, and the IP address is wrong. The IP is configured to 192.168.0.xx but it shows 172.16.140.x, I'm really a little lost on this one. Take that back, I'm way lost. smb.conf # Samba config file created using SWAT #

Dovecot failing silently on startup

After a while (maybe 10 minutes or more) it all suddenly starts working, all without logging anything untoward. All the dovecot processes appear to start OK, and 'Dovecot starting up' is logged to the syslog. If

2048-bit Diffie-Hellman parameters
Currently, dovecot generates two primes for Diffie-Hellman key exchanges: a 512-bit one and a 1024-bit one. In light of recent events, I think it would be wise to add support for 2048-bit primes as well, or even better, add a configuration option that lets the user select a file (or files) containing the DH parameters In recent years, there has been increased interest in DH especially in its
