I'm trying to build samba with ldap/ads support on a solaris10 sparc system. After some googling, I followed some the advise of others, and built krb5, openssl, and openldap and installed into /usr/local. Hi, I'm not entirely happy with the performance I'm seeing using Samba, and I wonder if anyone can shine any light. The server is a Dell PowerEdge 2950 with hardware RAID10, 4GB RAM and a quad-core Intel Xeon processor. It's not live yet, so there's no load from other tasks. In FreeBSD 5.x only telnet/telnetd works 'out of box' with kerberos. Why ftp/ftpd, ssh/sshd and cvs do not support kerberos ? Thanks!
