Why shouldn't I use 1.8?
Now that we've hashed out some thoughts on the most stable version of asterisk, I'd like to ask the question as to why I should NOT use 1.8? What are specific reasons? For instance a few days back I was speaking with James at Rhino Equipment. He said that he has "no real data" on why I shouldn't use 1.8. They just follow a practice of not jumping on the newest version.

Asterisk with a Cisco AS5300 gateway

i test a new equipment on my backbone: a Cisco AS5300 with voice dsp
ressource
connected at a E1 Voice Link.
I want that all call incoming on the cisco 5300 are sent to Asterisk and
all Asterisk outgoing
call are sent to Cisco AS5300.

Sending calls to a particular T1 port.
We have two Asterisk servers. One is a live server supporting our
customers, and the other is a backup server that's being upgraded and
pressed into service. Both servers have a Digium TE405P T1 card in them,
and in order to test the T1 service on the backup server, I've created a

Best way to limit outgoing calls per trunk
Hi Guys,
I am looking to use System() function along with some bash scripting to
determine if a Trunk is being used during certain time of the day or not.
