Non standard usage of X100P card.
I have two X100P card in my box. I want to connect regular phone (not the phone line!) to one of thse cards. Does anybody think about the same? I don't really want an expensive solution buying additional card with FXS port, I prefer to make something by myself. It'll be great if somebody can point me to technical materials or show electric scheme of such converter. I believe it should b...

summary of arima model in R
Hi, I want to give a summary or anova for "arima" model in R, as "summary", and "anova" for "lm". As including various intervention factors in arima(xreg = ) part, I want to assess the significancy of thse factors. I can do it using interrupted analysis of time series by linear regression, but want to see whether arima model works for the data first. "summary", "anova" do not work for "arima", any alternatives ??? Thank you very much. Fred

Fact based variables sowing up empty
I''ve got a single puppet master (2.7.19 + facter 1.6.11) controlling a number of nodes (2.7.17 + facter 1.6.8-10). On all of thse, fact absed variables work as expected (such as $::operatingsystem and $::fqdn). However, on my puppet master, when I run ''puppet agent --test'' all fact based variables are combing back as empty strings. For example. I have a line in a module that says: err("sudoer defau...

What does this error message mean
...eck_auth: username mismatch, have <100>, digest has <199> I have done everything I can think of and still failure. Currently the register line says: register => name:pass@ 0.0.0.0/199 and there is both a context [199] and [100] in extensions.conf with a goto to where I want and thse two lines in the declared context in sip.conf: exten => 100,1,goto(,,) exten => 199,1,goto(,,) I'm sure I'll feel quite silly when the error of my ways is pointed out, but for the moment I'm stumped. R search engine broken (PR#6653)
...some navigators. Anyway, I can use help.search() and I do. But I think R deserves a working good-looking search engine. So I write this bug report to suggest investigating about it. Have you considered an on-line, server-based search engine ? This would definitely solve the problem, (at least for thse who have Internet access). Thanks a lot.

Asterisk crashes from time to time
Hello List, we have 3 Asterisk boxes running under Fedora Core 2. Every box hangs/crashes from time to time. These installations are image based, means we made an image from our testserver with an image tool, which is able to manage ext3 partitions and deployed it to different server hardware. These servers run very stable and I could not find any failures in the logs. As these crashes appeared

...rs mounting iSCSI/FC storage that grows over time. How would you grow this online? Going without partitions at all and putting the pv directly on sdc is no good either. So we need partitions, and msdos tables don't support >2TB and the only other in practical use that I know of is gpt, and thse aparently can't expand online! Trust domain
Hi, All, I upgraded my samba to 2.2.4 recently. There is one question about trusted domain. If I set 'winbind use default domain' to yes, supposed the domain name is D1, a trusted domain D2, when I run wbinfo -u, what I should I get? I remembered I will get users like D1\UserOnD1 ..... D2\UserOnD2 ... in previous version. Thanks in advance, Juer

read_data: read failure for 4
Thse kinds of error messages show up all the time in my logs...is this bad? I've had no complaints about lost data or anything. I'm running samba 2.2.4 on FreeBSD 4.6 (previously 4.5), on an IDE RAID. I upgraded our file server from an older linux box about 4 weeks ago, and have been getting t...

Wine Failing Miserably
I have a fully functional wine install on my Ubuntu parition. However, I have two relitively recent partitions, my Arch and my Xubuntu installs. I have attempted to get wine to work with either of thse installations and I have had absolutely no luck. I have uninstalled wine competely. I have deleted my ~/.wine directory. I have compiled from source on both 32bit and 64bit systems. I have installed every iteration of the Nvidia drivers (gtx260). I can get basic stuff to work with wine, like n...

GPLPV (9.11pre20) in Win2003 x64 on XenServer Enterprise 5.0 (CD drive missing)
...f our Windows 2003 Server R2 x64 (standard) system with Ipswitch Imail server. There were a lot of ''connection resets'' and connections broken suddenly with the SMTP protocol. These problems came after upgrading the Xen (pv-tools) from 4.0.1 to 4.1 (even the 4.1 beta already had thse problems). In Xenserver 5.0, we still got the problems. I think it had to do with TCP Checksum / offload, etc. We tried everything but couldn''t fix it (setting the windows registry, using ethtool -K ... on the Xenserver, etc.) I also saw the errors on from a Windows Command prompt on t...

How to setup Rsync as an NT Service
For a recent project I needed to run Rsync as a service on Windows NT. The following is a link to the instructions I created to recreate my steps. http://members.home.net/cbollerud2/projects/rsync/NTService.html The "no-fork" patch used here is very similar to the "no-detach" option mentioned in many previous posts. I wish I could take credit for it, but I basically put

Memory Leak in 2.2.6rc2??
We upgraded to 2.2.6rc2 yesterday to continue our resolving of the printer driver problems. (Thanks Jerry & Rohin) For unrelated reasons I wanted to log into the machine late last night and found Putty couldn't connect. When I get in this morning the server was completely hooped with Out of Memory errors on the screen with SMBD as the offending process. Trying to log into any console
