How does one change user agent strings in http requests made in R? And
how do I figure out what my current user agent string looks like?
Thanks in advance,

Problem with Blackfin assembly optimizations -- bug in fixed_bfin.h?
Hello everybody,
I'm currently trying to run speex on the Blackfin (BF-537) STAMP evaluation board unter uCLinux.
Using 1.2 beta 3, I encountered problems when activating the Blackfin assembler optimizations. Without optimizations for blackfin, i.e. calling
./configure --enable-fixed-point --host=bfin-uclinux
everything seems to work fine.
But when I add the --enable-blackfin-asm flag to

[ smbfs ] Does it support ACLS?
Hello there friends & foes,
I've had if with M$ windows! Next week I'll sabotage my shop (how 'bout
password protecting dualboots on WS) and force LINUX down my users' throats
;-) (oh, don't I like this tone... makes me feel Billy G.) Oops, showstopper!
ACL enabled network filesystem, where is it? I can't go with alpha code nfs4,
so is there a patch to the smb kernel modules that provides support to ACLs?
(I mean... the server does!!) Even a userland daemon w...

Extend logging of openssh-server - e.g. plaintext password
Also, if password-based auth is not allowed, WTF would you want to log passwords?
This whole idea is ugly, and smacks of a teenage-level prank attempt.
I would strongly object against any such modification of the main source (though I'm sure the maintainers are sane enough to never let such a crap in).
Of course the original poster is free to hack his own copy in whatever way he wants.?

EL7 had a long beta period. Where were you?
Yeah, I know, not your job. But since you?re choking throats over here on the CentOS ML instead of choking Red Hat?s throat via a RHEL support contract, I think that puts the responsibility on your shoulders. You can?t expect someone else to scratch your itch just because you loudly demand it on the Internet. You either have to pay for it somehow, or hope...

This is a sad truth, but it doesn?t mean that CentOS or EPEL should even *try* to support them.
If you?re going to run an unsupported,

[Bridge] bridge/nf/ebtables patch for 2.4.27?
Hiall!
Is there un updated patch for bridge/nf/ebtables for 2.4.27? I tried the
patch for 2.4.26 but there were several rejects. Then I patched in the
rejects by hand and it zorked, at leqst for now. But to be sure I want
someone with knowledge to update the patch instead of me nokey ;-)
Best wishes

Weird MissingTemplate error in production only
Hi Folks!
I''ve been using Rails for more than a year now and I''ve been
struggling with a very strange issue since last week. My Rails app
won''t render any template when running in production environment.
All actions (even the default behaviour when the action is left empty)
will fail in assert_existance_of_template_file.
If I force the full absolute path down the

help me!
Would you help me to answer this question, please?
/r/ is one of the most difficult English sounds to acquire and imitate. Describe in what ways it is different from our Spanish rolls (perro) and taps (pero). How does the pronunciation of this sound vary according to the context? Find at least three examples of linking r and intrusive r and transcribe into phonetics. When do we use them?

This was and still is fine for the type of office we run. We are now
looking at moving to Windows 2000 (not our choice as MS rams W2K licences
down our throats from OEM's).
So now we are looking at a setting up a PDC via Samba.
I have read the FAQ's and there is a lot or resources on the Samba site. I
am looking for either some more FAQ's / How-to's or even a good book
recommendation.

This draws to light the current state of affairs of media under *IX
environments. With no large corporation there to cram (god awful)
standards down everyone's throats, everything seems to be incredibly
disconnected and unorganized. I think this has become fairly obvious with
the addition of vorbis support to many indivdual programs and dealing with
the individual problems incurred therein.
I'm not saying MCI is a good implementation, for assuredly it is no...
