Problems using vorbisfile.dll
Hello. Not certain this post belongs here, got a little confused about vorbis-dev / vorbis. If it doesn’t, please tell me so :) Well, on to the problem. I’m adding ogg support into an audio-player. For some reason I want it using vorbisfile threw the dll’s. It works just fine with the debug dll. No problems what so ever. But with the Retail dlls, when I call ov_open my memory gets messed up. In file: ov_open(……..); log_message(“do I live ?”); The constant “do I live ?” string even gets messed up. Something like “D#£%&” will be written i...

...sound chip. After all, result was an error: linking kernel if.o: In function 'if_setlladdr': if.o(.text+0x2725): undefined reference to 'arp_ifinit' stop in /usr/orj/usr/src/sys/NEWKERN I am shure that mistake is mine, but don't know what option to include. Must be something I threw away, without knowlidge what it is. Is there someone, who knows what to do for linking kernel to finaly compile? Script excludes and includes exactly what I said. Yes, 5_0 is very unstable and behaves a lot different than stable 4_. Best regards Zoran...

[PATCH 1/2] python: Avoid crash if callback parameters cannot be built
In the case that building the parameters to the Python event callback fails, args was returned as NULL. We immediately tried to call Py_INCREF on this which crashed. Returning NULL means the Python function threw an exception, so print the exception and return (there is no way to return an error here - the event is lost). sort-weirdness - active record issue?
...19 super test 3 2006-01-26 Larry''s issue 2006-03-09 For some reason, the sort algorithm thinks that all the dates are nil so they don''t get sorted, but they''re there as the puts shows. The sort method is below. When i didn''t include the check for nil in it, it threw an exception, saying nil doesn''t understand <=>. # Sort by due date (scheduled_end_date) def <=> aTask @scheduled_end_date.nil? ? -1 : @scheduled_end_date <=> aTask.scheduled_end_date end Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. -------------- next...

[cfe-dev] [RFC][libcxx] Fix and maintain the no-exceptions build of libcxx
...u have disabled exceptions. This is possibly something that the standards committee should address. There are lots of situations where you don’t want to enable exceptions, and it would be nice to have an official, standard version of C++ that would work in this situation. Embedded C++ tried, but threw away too much to be useful in practice. Is there a subcommittee looking at this kind of use? David

Rights issue on GPO
...good on DC4. > > Thanks! > > MJ > I found my issue. On one of my DC's I had misspelled 'idmap_ldb:use rfc2307 = Yes'. I had it 'idmap_lbd:'. Ran 'net cache flush' and wbinfo gave correct mappings. I find it odd that 'samba-tool testparm' never threw any errors. -- -James

xend.err: "kernel image does not exist"
...rk related info etc, and unmount it. (4) Using this new copy of the disk image file in a new xen configuration file, create a new domU clone with a different name using "xm create". This did succeed and I was able to see the new domUclone up and running. However, after a few reboots, it threw up the following error message: xend.err: "kernel image does not exist" and never proceeded from there. From that moment on, the GUI-created domU also threw the same error if I restarted it, and also, I was not able to create a new domU using virt-manager again [at the end of installatio...

RMySQL *was* working...
List, Last week with the help of Uwe and some other folks I was able to get RMySQL 0.5-7 compiled against R 2.4.1 and MySQL 5.0.27. It was working fine--I was able to send select queries to the db, put the results in a data frame, and so forth. Today, dbDriver() threw an error: > dbDriver(MySQL) Error in function (classes, fdef, mtable) : unable to find an inherited method for function "dbDriver", for signature "function" There have been no system changes that should concern MySQL, R, or the installed package RMySQL (that is, n...

Pair ADFS with samba: possible?
...ADFS v3 with a samba-4.9.1 AD DC. The web form authentication allow a user to insert username and password, the ADFS correctly recognizes wrong password, but when password is correct, ADFS fails on the redirect step with a non-diagnostic error: S4U Logon for user with upn 'user at domain' threw the following exception: 'Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service' So, I was wondering if my naive attempt is architecturally flawed before delving into the issue more, thank you, franz

X11 connection rejected because of wrong authentication
I'd like to run SELinux on my CentOS server in enforcing mode, but I get the above message when I run sealert. I assume this is because I am accessing the server from my laptop? In any case, I googled for the message, and this threw up dozens of similar queries over many years. Most of the ones I read offered methods of avoiding the problem rather than solving it. Am I right in thinking the message arises from my remote connection? And if so, is there a simple solution? -- Timothy Murphy e-mail: gayleard /at/ eircom.net S...

Any experiences with newer WD Red drives?
...ue. I've been using WD Reds as mdraid components which worked pretty well for non-IOPS intensive workloads. However, the latest C7 server I built, ran into problems with them on on a Intel C236 board (SuperMicro X11SSH) with tons of "ata bus error write fpdma queued". Googling on it threw up old suggestions to limit SATA link speed to 1.5Gbps using libata.force boot options and/or noncq. Lowering the link speed helped to reduce the frequency of the errors (from not getting a smartctl output to getting a complete listing within 2 tries). Tried two Reds produced in Jan 2016, two HGST...

default64 patch?
I stumbled across the following patch and wondered if it wouldn't be a good idea to have it included. http://foldingcd.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/*checkout*/foldingcd/trunk/folding_cd/patches/syslinux-3.51-64bit.patch?revision=5 It adds a default64 keyword and detection of a 64bit processor. It could be useful for mixed environments. The patch is against 3.51, but looks like it would port

No Spaces in Directory names
How can I make it so my users can not create folders with spaces in them? Or allow them to create such folders but rewrite them on the hardrive with a "_" or some other symbol. Im having problems with some of the expire and compress scripts when it hits these types of folders. Is dovecot able to restrict or rewrite the names of imap fol...
