Um, that's definitely not in the code in the system you quote below.

Configuration: libpng needs zlib, but ...
...eaders and libraries.
R_ZLIB
## POSIX times.
R_USES_LEAPSECONDS

I think either the order in configure.in should be changed or in R.m4
the zlib
should be included into the OTHER-LIBRARIES branch of the macro.

src/modules/Makefile.in: What is the (practical) difference betw. SUBDIRS and MODULES?
...R_GUIS) internet lapack vfonts
It is my understanding, that there is a 1:1 correspondence between
subdirs and modules. If this were true, then one could use one of
both in all places. Or do I overlook something here?

eval.c: possible issue with profiling for Windows

of course simply make "wait" static.
(This concerns R 1.3.1, because I use a 33kb modem line: forget this
mail if
this has changed in newer release (or if it's a wrong conclusion, of
course)).

Double inclusion of Runix.h
Maybe I am overlooking something important, but why is Runix.h included twice
in sys-std.c?
....
#include "Runix.h"
#include "Startup.h"
#include "Runix.h"
....
In Runix.h, there is another iclusion of Startup.h ...
Was this an omission during clean up?
Curious,
Thomas Hoffmann.

If I did not miss something, these are bugs, but not of R, but of a
contributed

Kind regards,

lmList with NAs
Hello R-Helpers,
I was trying to use the lmList function to get the lmList graphic similar to Pinheiro and Bates (pg 33). I did not have a problem creating the graphic when I used the Orthodont data frame or 2 other data sets when there are no missing values.
My data has missing values. Do I need to remove the missing values before the lmList function will work?
for a small example:

Unified naming for R<system>_tmpnam possible?
What is the reason that the system specific files (sys-unix.c et.al.) all define a specific
name for building tmpfile?
In main/devPS.c then there is an #ifdef sequence which calls depending on the
system defined the respective function.
Wouldn't it be better just to have one function R_tmpnam(), which is implemented
system dependent in the sys-<system>.c files?
