migrate from win2012srv to samba 4.1.17-Sernet-Debian-9.wheezy
I just go down in the script and found an acl called "thisserverip" with value SETIPPDC1. And this variable is used for this line : listen-on port 53 {"thisserverip", 127.0.0.1; ]; Is it not strange that the pdc1 windows server Ip is coming here? Thanks. cannot update W7 or linux clients
First, I am sorry. I should know this by now. Last week had an issue with W7 client could not update. I made some adjustments to get W7 updated. Now I am having an issue with update resolution. (Run apt-get update and repositories cannot be find, etc.) So, this tells me that I have messed up my dns resolution. All clients (W7 & linux) point to my DC for DNS nameserver. All clients (W7

I've summerized a bit.. And i saw Rowland also answered already. Below is anonimized, but it shows, 2 completely different server setups. I really suggest you setup your AD-DC's the same. To summ up. DC1 Samba is running as an AD DC but 'winbindd' is NOT running. You running SSSD on the AD-DC, which is not supported. Your using a really out-dated OS.. The hosts is not
