Unable to connect to CIFS host

I have sniffed the communications and I saw a DNS trouble during the

thise answer is received for A or AAAA.
I would like to understand this trouble.
Do you have some idea or informations ?

Puppet and Windows ACLs (Access Control Lists)
tl;dr: Windows manages permissions in a way that doesn''t always translate
well to mode. We''re putting together a solution for this. Jump in the
discussion.
I wanted to get this conversation started. We''ve put a lot of thought into
how the model should look and focused on ease of use up to more advanced
scenarios.
However I don''t feel that what we have is

I migth be picky in thise things, but setting this things correct from start helps avoiding problems.
I suggest you make a small adjustment to your smb.conf.
Change :
realm = SSUNIT050.local
To
realm = SSUNIT050.LOCAL
Realms always in caps, or it might bit you somewhere else and these things are often hard to find.

Some questions about quadratic programming (QP)
...negativity is not mentioned. Is there any argument for that?
3- In QP formulation we have a constant 1/2 in objective function. This should be multiplied by the user or it is done by the algorithm?
4- More important, when I multiply a b*b matrix by D in quadratic term of objective function, I get thise message:
Error in solve.QP(Dmat, dvec, Amat, bvec) :
matrix D in quadratic function is not positive definite!
How to multiply b*b matrix by the diagonal matrix ?
Thank you very much for any help.

[1.4] Call progress for Zaptel 1.4.3.1?
Hi
With an FXO module + Zaptel, I'd like to know if there are ways to
know when the remote party has answered the phone, whether calling
through a callfile or by sending DTMF's.
I read about {CHANNEL(state), ChanIsAvail(), and ${DIALSTATUS}: Are
those reliable ways to know when the channel is available for dialing
out and the call has been answered?

IDMAP_RID with Winbind works for groups but not users
Hi,
I've setup samba 3.4.7 to use idmap_rid as per the documentation:
idmap backend = rid:DOMAIN=500-100000000
idmap gid = 500-100000000
imap uid = 500-100000000
It seems to work for groups:
wbinfo --group-info="domain admins"

package.skeleton.S4

I would have been very proud to post a new working function on this list.
Unfortunately, I do not manage to solve all the problems. Mainly
- sys.source does not compile a file with setClass
- dumpMethod does not exists yet
In the following code, thise two problems are notified by a line

Still with this two issues, it is possible to use package.skeleton.S4 in
the following way:
- first run package.skeleton (in the classical way, on a file or in the
console).
This creates the directories and the files
- then run package...
