Two parameterized classes calling both a thirth class (results in already defined)
Hi all, I have three parameterized classes, named mq, mq_gsk and apache. The mq class always calls the mq_gsk class, but the apache class should only call the mq_gsk class when the mq class is not used in a hosts'' node definition Here is my configuration class mq ( $gsk_version = undef ) { require mq::params < ..... > class { ''mq_gsk'':

Generating keytab on a read-only file system
Hai, First, I suggest read : https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Keytab_Extraction Second, it his for a member or AD-DC? Thats because of the location of the keytab and the ad-dc creates its own keytab file. Thirth, are any other services going to use it? Last, root must be able to write the keytab file. If you place the keytab in an other non-default location like : With : dedicated keytab file = /tmp/krb5.keytab Then dont forget the symlynk to /etc/krb5.keytab also. Most client programs look at the de...

streaming: some idea's
...9; compaired to a value set by the 'original' server. This could be higher in the case where the cache receives a request from one of her 'local users'. This could be lower in the case where the cache acts as a sort of 'backup'-streaming server for the original server. - A thirth possibility is where the local cache would sent out its meta-streaming information using IP-multicasting using a 'network-local' IP-multicast address. (usually, this is the 239.x.y.z. address). The streaming-server would the 'direct' the player to this meta-stream (if the player ca...

Samba DNS fails when queried with nslookup commands
...n /etc/resolv.conf Most probley the first DNS nameserver in resolv.conf is set to 127.0.0.51:53 * do note, you might have a symlinked resolv.conf, which is fine but the setup must be correctly done. Think in : Which program is filling the symlinked resolv.conf? Then that where it needs fixing. Thirth, (most important) This is how a client and server its DNS request are done. Per example, ON the AD-DC, running on cli host/nslookup etc. is a "client" DNS request. This uses /etc/resolv.conf and the path is should follow. If a pc contacts the DC-DNS it just connects to the server DNS...
