nufa and missing files
We're using gluster-2.0.1 and a nufa volume comprised of thirteen
subvolumes across thirteen hosts.
We've found today that there are some files in the local filesystem
associated with the subvolume from one of the hosts that are not
being seen in the nufa volume on any gluster client.
I don't know how or when this happened, but now we have to do some

Samba 3.0.1 from samba.org shows "bgmilne" as username
When I attempted to "rpm -i samba3-3.0.0-1.1mdk.src.rpm" this morning on
my Mandrake 9.2 box, I got an unusual message that doesn't make sense.
It said, over and over (thirteen times total):
WARNING: user bgmilne does not exist - using root
When it went back to root prompt, I did an "updatedb", but nothing for
"samba-3" is found when I did the urpmi request. Any ideas? I wrote an
email that bounced to Mr Milne, and don't know what else to inve...

Problems with "predict" function
Hello,
I am synthesising some sales data over a twelve month period, and then trying to
use the "predict" function, firstly to generate a thirteenth month forecast with
upper and lower 95% confidence limits. So far so good
But what I then want to do is add the upper sales value at the 95th confidence
limit to the vector of thirteen months and their respective sales to create a
fourteenth month with a predicted sale and the 95% upper confide...

...on housing data contains 506 observations, and is publicly
available in the R package mlbench (dataset “BostonHousing”).
The response variable Y is the median value of owner-occupied homes
(MEDV) in each of the 506 census tracts in the Boston Standard Metropolitan
Statistical Areas, and there are thirteen predictor variables.
We are interested in the relationship between MEDV and the other
predictor variables.

On the Use of the nnet Library
...es: Sex, Age, Height and Weight. Sex is treated as a factor, Age
and Weight are variables normalized to unity, as usual. I wanted to
construct a neural network, and so I ran the following code:
>library(nnet)
>net1<-nnet(Weight~Age+Sex+Height, size=2, linout=T,maxit=1000)
I repeated this thirteen times. I used the default initial parameters
unless otherwise noted. The result is as follows, where init and final
mean initial and final RSS's, and NIT means the number of iterations
before reaching convergence or noncovergence:
Run# init NIT final

Queue application strategy
I am using rrmemory for my queues. I have noticed that the application
will only distribute or dial one number at a time. Is there a different
strategy that will allow the queue to distribute more than one call at a
time? I don't want to use ringall because that would tie up thirteen of
my trunks every time it tried to distribute a call. Any thoughts?

repeating colors in graph 2
I've tried looking at ?colors and ?palette and if I'm understanding it
correctly, I'm supposed to type in (for example) palette(rainbow(13)) before
I type in my plot (of 13 lines) if I want 13 different colors. But this does
not work. Other things that i have tried besides rainbow give me errors.
Am I just doing something completely wrong?

[LLVMdev] What is the state of LLVM's ARM backend
Hello Evan and Robert
I have been investigating the unexpected test failures from the ARM
nightly builders in order to get a better picture why the ARM backend
don't pass the whole testsuite: I have run the failing tests manually on
my arm board and can now categorize most of the thirteen unexpected
CodeGen failures in four categories:
1. llvm don't lower MVT::i64 properly on arm errors
