[RFC] virtio-net: share receive_*() and add_recvbuf_*() with virtio-vsock
...modified
Maybe it is allow us to reuse a lot of stuff already written,
but we will go through the network stack
2. new AF_VSOCK + glue + virtio-net modified
Intermediate approach, similar to Jason's proposal
3, new AF_VSOCK + new virtio-vsock
Can be the thinnest, but we have to rewrite many things, with the risk
of making the same mistakes as the current implementation.

IMHO whatever DE (eg Gnome2, Mate or KDE) should work except for the
thinnest ones (eg xfce), which are are likely to be scary for a former
Windows refugee.
The most important thing to not forget though, is to add and apply the
Redmond theme!

Seeking a maintainer for liboggplay
...a
chance to take on a really cool open source project in video:
liboggplay is a library that vastly simplifies the decoding and
playback of Ogg encapsulated audio-visual content for programmers. It
does everything apart from the actual display of audio and video and
has thus been selected as the thinnest library to provide support for
Ogg Theora/Vorbis in Firefox's new HTML5 <video> and <audio> tag
implementation.
liboggplay is looking for a maintainer.
It needs somebody who is highly enthusiastic about open media codecs,
has experience in C programming, can compile and test libog...

1 or 3 imho. I wouldn't expect a lot from 2. I slightly favor 3 and
Jason 1. So take your pick :)

My vote is still for KDE
It's got a similar feel to Windows before it went pear shaped at Win8.
It's fairly easy to use.
He should be able to do most stuff as a user.

Why Are You Using FreeBSD?
Hi Everyone,
This is off-topic, so please feel free to disregard it, but I'm sending it to this list in the hope that it will reach a largish number of users.
I am currently looking at updating some of our advocacy material (which advertises exciting new features like SMP support), and before I do I'd like to get a better feel for why the rest of you are using FreeBSD. If you had to
