I have no idea what would cause this, but having concern about the open processes after a sambs.sh stop I set a deadtime in the smb.conf thining perhaps these open connections are causing a resource problem in samba. Is there a way in samba to create files greater then 2GB in size? I'm tarring some stuff to a samba share (from one linux server to another, share mounted using smbmount) and I get an error "File size limit exceeded" and the size of the file is 2147483647 bytes. Is there anyway to create files larger then 2GB on a samba mounted share? If so, how?
