local sequence function
hey, I can not find a function for the following problem, hopefully you can help me. I have a vactor like this one v = c(NA,NA,TRUE,TRUE,NA,TRUE,NA,TRUE,TRUE,TRUE) and I would like to the TRUE values by the their "local sequence number". This means, the result should look thike this: c(NA,NA,1,2,NA,1,NA,1,2,3) Of course I could solve the problems using a loop, but this would be

ZFS on Linux repository
...ly* love to have ZFS on Linux more intergrated with current CentOS. From what I know (and I can go wrong, obviously), while the incompatible licenses prevent CentOS from shipping it, nothing should prevent to have a package for enabling *its repository*, better yet the kmod-enabled one. I was thiking to something as a ZFS SIG, where we can simply issue "yum install zfs-sig" and have the correct kmod-enabled repository enabled. I searched the list but I did not found anything regarding native ZFS. Any feedback on the matter is welcomed. Thanks. -- Danti Gionatan Supporto Tecnico A...

Sweave +RWinEdt
Hi! I was just reading Uwe Ligges write up on extending R-WinEdt for Sweave from 2003; I was wondering if there were updates on it? Are people seriously thiking about it? I really use WinEdt a lot, and for not just R, and hence this kind of extension would be really cool for a whole range people. Just thought I put in a word for it in case this project is dormat, or people are thinking about if its something worth doing or not. Arnab

DTraceTools Update
Is there any work on keeping DTraceTools up to date with the latest snv builds. These scripts are pretty useful and help get a novice dtrace user like me doing useful work quickly. Specifically the tcp stack tools like tcptop and tcpsnoop don''t work with later OpenSolaris builds. Thanks, Gary -- This message posted from opensolaris.org

weird problem with "access denied" on share
...errors which state that the gid does not exist for user nsu. I suspect this is somehow related, but I am not sure what this *really* means. I did attetmpt to delete and recreate the user nsu. I deleted from /etc/passwd and then from the tdb manually using pdbedit. I then re-created this user, thiking somehow this might fix this gid problem somehow. Didn't fix the share permission issue, though I can still log in with local admin rights on the workstation. This is really annoying!!! Can someone help???? Thanks!
