lmtp_save_to_detail_mailbox override
Hi, I have a dovecot 2.3.2.1 instance running here that is getting userdb and passdb data from a SQL database. This was a cyrus server migrated over and all users are happy. All users except one: Said user asked if it would be possible to disable subaddressing (localuser+folder at example.com) again. The setting controlling that is AFAIK the lmtp_save_to_detail_mailbox item. My idea was to

Fwd: RE New xanto driver for NUT
Dear Andreas, some googling revealed, you created a driver for the xanto series of online-usv.de. In what state it is currently? I've to manage a S2000 and would like to use nut for it, is it usable by now? Do you need another tester? TIA, Pete

LMTP tcp listener with auth?
I am wondering if it's possible to have a tcp listener for LMTP do authentication and not accept any unauthenticated mail. My configuration looks like the following: service lmtp { inet_listener lmtp { address = 192.168.0.1 127.0.0.1 port = 24 } } This gives me a network reachable lmtp socket, but of course no autentication. When reading the docs, it seems though that only

Undelete?
Hi, I just found out, I deleted an important file, which was (of course) just downloaded to the computer from the digital camera, and deleted there. So, no backups. But when I tried to find the deleted INODE with debugfs and lsdel It said "no files deleted". Is this the normal behaviour? Is there a possibility of getting the data back? The kernel I use is 2.2.17-6 from the RH

Online-UPS Xanto support status?
...eir support in nut. Turns out that... - networkupstools.org talks about an 'optiups' driver in the development version (http://www.networkupstools.org/compat/dev.html - by the way, the web page says 'stable' in the title and headings just like the actual stable one) - Andreas Thienemann seems to have a working driver, discussed in this May-2006 thread (http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/nut- upsdev/2006-May/000886.html), with someone suggesting it's similar to the 'megatec' protocol - Marc Balmer and/or Hanning Brauer added Xanto support to the fentonups d...

Dsync deleting mailboxes due to duplicate UIDs
Hi, I am attempting to migrate a mailspool from a cyrus server to a dovecot server using the dsync backup approach as described in the wiki at <https://wiki.dovecot.org/Migration/Dsync>. The first attempt works great. Everything copies over and a quick glance over the spool looks good. Running doveadm backup again though results in the following error: dsync(eggs): Warning: Deleting

FTS Dealing badly with Tika failures
Hi, I've seen that latest Dovecot has the ability to use the Apache Tika Server to extract metadata from attachments. That is a pretty useful feature and looks to be an improvement over piping the attachment through a shellscript as done with fts_decoder. Having this feature enabled though I sometimes do see the situation that the tika service does not reply in time and it looks like the

You're probably running with a 2.2 Kernel, right? The limit has nothing to do in that case with the fs but just the kernel. 2.4.x has no limits. bye, andreas -- "being
