Way to start CDR when call is bridged ?
Hi,
in dialplan -Asterisk 16.2 from Debian Buster- we have
same = n,Dial(PJSIP/101&PJSIP/102&PJSIP/103,15,tT)
If thew call is not answered after 20 seconds, we launch a new dial with
same and/or other extensions
same = n,Dial(PJSIP/101&PJSIP/104&PJSIP/110,20,tT)
Looking in CDR we have at the end of the call (here we called 3
extensions which where ringing, let say 110 answered the call)

Dect Phone
Hi
I have a problem with a new DECT phone I have bought
The key pad works like a Mobile phone where you dial first then pick up
the line, but it seems to dail too fast or spuriously, ie 012826736464
show on thew Asterisk console as 0012282677, could any one offer advice
how to fix?
Also when doing a ZAP bridge to this phone from an outside line the call
is very echoy, but not an internal call, but only on this dect phone
and no others any advice would be helpful
Thanks

Problem with 'doveadm mailbox status -t' reporting cumulative vsizes after upgrading from v2.0.16 to v2.1.7
...038935461
will at example.com messages=85 vsize=21057572390
[SNIP]
The same occurs with -u '*@example.com' in place of -A, and also for
'all' in place of 'messages vsize'.
Is this expected behaviour in 2.1.x compared to 2.0.x, or have I
stumbled upon a bug?

Jase Thew.

Server turns off unexpectedly
A few weeks back I built a new Centos 7 server from a 4 year old workstation
PC, and a brand new HDD.
This PC had no prior problems other than it ran Windows 7. Thew new HDD is
because I'm planning to also use it as a Bacula storage device.
For the moment is purely an AirPrint server, using CUPS and Avahi so is ide
99.9% of the time.
My priblem is that twice now it has turned itself off, the last time being at
7:40am today. There is nothing I can find...

lookup_name_smbconf for <user> failed
Hi
I have a Red Hat 7.6 server with samba-4.8.3 which report
lookup_name_smbconf failed when running "smbclient -L" from another console
on the same server. smbclient works fine on an old server running Suse and
samba version 3 and thew the
user.
Any ideas of where to look or what to try?
I got this in the logfile:

Automatic creation of local users
I’ve actually found a solution to my problem, but I wanted to post it here, since someone else might have the problem in the future, and I think it would be nice if I could spare them the week of Googling I needed.
Basically, I have an AD member server, running Samba 4.2.10 (on Centos 7.2.1511). Here’s my smb.conf:
[global]
workgroup = SUBDOMAIN
server string = Samba Server

Max concurrent calls
Hi,
Does anyone know what is the amount of max concurrent calls that can be made
in one Asterisk box?
I heard that it is 256 and it doesn't depend on how good your machine is. It
is the program constraint. What can I do when I need to have more calls than
that. I read about connecting Asterisk boxes with IAX. Is it a good
solution?
Does anyone have other proposals?
Cheers
Andrew

AW: SIP Phones behind dynamic IPs
I have thew same problem.
Ui tried with dyn dns in the externip field in sip.conf but I think the Asterisk does not allow this. Unfortunally I have every day a new ip. Maybe I can write a script witch takes my actual ip from externat and put it into the externip field. Maybe this solves the problem.

disable NTLM on Fedora samba-3.0.9
Hi all,
I have successfully configured a samba server as a domain member in my 2003
domain (native mode 2003).
I also configured winbind, and my domain users successfully can access
shares in the samba server.
smb.conf:
security = ADS
I also configured /etc/krb5.conf and used net ads join - successfully.
However, I can see that NTLM is the chosen protocol for each client machine

Sound & Vision codec comparison article
I just found this link on slashdot:
http://www.soundandvisionmag.com/SoundAndVision/FrameSet/0,1670,_sl_SoundAndVision_sl_Article_sl_0_cm_1653_cm_130_2020_1_cm_00,00.html
It is a Sept 1999 article describing some very detailed, double blind
listening tests comparing PAC(Lucent), MP3(FhG) and MS audio at
128kbs. In typical microsoft fashon, MS audio is the clear looser
despite all their hype.

winbindd ?'s
Am I correct in my understanding that with winbindd (and PAM), I am able to
authenticate PAM aware apps against an NT 4 domain with no passwd entries?
If so, how would one get ssh working with this? I've followed the winbindd
how-to and haven't been able to ssh into the box with winbindd using an
account that only resides in the domain (i.e. isn't in the passwd file).

Vincent: In a perfect world, could you rebuild littler and provide it?
Jakob: Barring a new littler you can apt-get, the easiest may be to just
uninstall littler and rebuild it locally so that thew R 2.7.0 is used.
Ping me, or better still, the r-sig-debian list, with questions if you have
any. You need to subscribe to r-sig-debian before you can post there.
Lastly, if you only want or use R, use R :) 'r' is for scripting and short
command-line uses.

[LLVMdev] FOLLOWUP: Re: Automake Notes (Long)
...39;s some revision from the
first version of this email.
The build times didn't change much (I guess I/O is cheap on my machine).
The new "Build With Automake" times are 20m28.672s (elapsed), 18m1.900s
(user) and 1m38.540s (system).
The real change is in the size of the executables. Thew new values,
while still smaller are much more reasonable. Previously the automake
build and existing build were using different flags to the compiler. The
results below are with the same flags (I double checked).

Special characters in ERB
I''m pulling text out of a database that contains special characters,
like the trademark sign. For example, a typical string might be like this:
string_from_database => "Some Special Brand\231 is for sale this
Thursday through Friday."
The \231 is the trademark sign (TM). ERB converts this to question
marks. So, my question is -- how can I get it to display the trademark
