...e strace log which showed the select() call was timed out. If I knew what type of file descriptor it was being fed, I might have a clue. It might have been a socket or something on disk. ...'m assuming that with enough fiddling, it would theoretically be possible to use a 5.1 stream encoded into vorbis. From what I know of the CELT codec, it handles either only mono or stereo. failed: File name too long
...means of getting rsync to use a dynamically sized file name buffer, or perhaps some other method for situations like this?
