ROC for threshold value, biometrics
Hello,
I am just a beginner of R 1.9.0.
I try to construct a predictive score for the development of liver
cancer in cirrhotic patients. So dependant variable is binanry (cancer
yes or no). Independant variables are biological data. The aim is to
find out a cut-off value which differentiate (theoratically) from
normal to pathological state for each biological data.
How can I step in procedue to get a cut-off value (threshold) for each
variable? I think I should try by ROC. But I'm not sure. If so, someone
can lead me?
If not, someone can advice me how ?
Any advice will be cordially aprreciate...

no true incrementals with rsync?
for example's sake:
With traditional backup systems, you keep a base (full backup, let's say
every 30 days), then build incrementals on top of that, eg. (what has
changed since the base).
So, to restore, you copy over your base, then copy each incremental over the
base to rebuild up to the latest snapshot. (*copying new incrementals files
over older base files*)
With rsync, (using

fitting lots of music into 10GB with Vorbis
Hi- just wondering, what would be the best quality rating to use to fit lots of music into 10GB of HD space.
The audio quality has to be high enough for it to sound good when played through PA systems (for when my college is stupid enough to forget to hire a DJ, or when the realise the DJ they always hire can't use a mixing desk properly) ranging from a functional PA system thats stuck in the
