Getting Grand Theft Auto 3 to work under WINE
Hello,
I'm trying to get Grand Theft Auto 3 to work under
WINE. The game installs fine. Applying the official
patch (version 1.1) went well. But then I ran into
some difficulties:
1: The video's would not play. This is not a major
problem and by pressing the space bar twice the menu
appeared. This has been reported earlier (see

Games: Grand Theft Auto 2 / DirectX 6.1 support?
Hi all,
I've checked the archives and can't find anything regarding the above so
here goes:
Has anyone had any luck getting GTA2 or other games that require DirectX
6.1 support working under Wine so far? I used to keep a Win95 partition
on my machine specifically for this game, but recently my second disk
died and I need the space for my Linux installation.
Any help appreciated.

Grand Theft Auto Vice City and WIne 0.9.41
Hello,
GTA Vice City will not start saved or new games
anymore in Wine 0.9.41. When you start the game, it
displays the menu (after you pressed a random key to
skip the intro movie, which does not play). You can
change options etc., but when you start a new game or
load a save game the game hangs. The progressbar on
the bottom of the screen almost gets to a 100%, but
hangs around 95%.
It does

gtasa
hi all
I am using Ubuntu Dapper at the moment (after using windows for so
long) dualbooting alongside windows
So i have all my games and applications for windows...
One of those games is Grand Theft Auto San Andreas.
Using wine i'm trying to run gtasa from my windows partiton (yes it is

sound card.
So can someone tell me how to fix this issue to be able to run gtasa
(so that i can then run mtasa (multi theft auto) ) T...

Running GTA Classics.
After downloading the first two Grand Theft Auto games from the Rockstar Classics website, and installing the first game I received this error:

> Cannot find a suitable display mode.
After a bit of searching, I believe that this is a problem with running the game under Wine, and not with my PC. T...

Popup/Tooltip Dialog windows using AJAX?
...an anybody point me to a sample of popup/tooltip using Prototype?
I saw examples for windows and also for tool tip but what I want is a little bit different.
I want the same fuctionality which exists at yahoo mail login.
https://login.yahoo.com/ -> on the right corner you have a Prevent Password Theft image. On mouse over you see a tooltip.
Now the good think in this solution is that the tool tip window doesn''t dissapear once you leave the image. You can still select links inside the tooltip window. Another good thing is that one you leave the tooltip window this will dissapear.
If you...

be nice to ensure this second signing key's associated pubkey in
trustedusercakeys is never consulted when a root certificate is
presented, perhaps via some form of blacklisting within the
trustedusercakeys file? This would provide some assurance that the
theft of the second key could not be used to sign root certificates and
be accepted for the systems I manage.

identical as possible (only graphic card is different, and touchpad is
configured on the laptop).
I ran the game as follow:

+win32,+xrender wine Grand\ Theft\ Auto.exe > gta.log 2>&1
on both computers and diff the resulting file. There are a lot of differences,
but some seems importants to me:

Controlling access at the Ethernet level

How about using 802.1Q vlan's and dedicate a vlan to each port.
If more than 4000 users then add more gateways.
Just be sure to go for switches that allow you to deny incoming already
tagged packets on the user side as some switches passes already tagged packets.
For a wireless environment i would suggest PPPoE

With ransomware and rarely-used files, it's also important to have
generations of backups, in case an infection clobbers your recent backups
of files before you detect the infection.
