I just can't believe that I was sending HTML e-mail. Thank you very
very much for bringing this to my attention. I hope it...

Question about hardware failures / FSD
Hello,
The UPS I am developing a driver to is able to report several flags for
critical hardware conditions, like overheat, overload, inverter failure,
output short etc. What should be the correct policy of operation when such
a condition occurs? I think that the an UPS in such a condition is not
reliable and therefore a system shutdown should be called. However, the
developer's manual and

[PATCH] Fix for client certificate validation does not work
Hi all,
As I reported earlier (with a typo in the work [BUG]) client
certification validation *does not* work even if you do everything
exactly according to all documentation and attempts at helpful advice.
I have seen this issue with both startssl.com and self-signed
certificates, and based on what I've seen from searching the web, this
is a problem that has gotten little attention because

Offer of Tripplite OMNIVS1500XL to official nut developer
Hi all,
I gave up on a Tripplite OMNIVS1500XL due to it failing to work on the
version of Nut in FreeNAS (and having experienced numerous issues on
Debian Jessie as well due to incomplete/unknown protocol elements
causing USB problems and Debian Wheezy doesn't even recognize the
device). Since the issue is likely lack of information (i.e. unknown
protocol) I'm not sure my offer of device

USB hotplug; Packaging list gone? Working on OpenWrt Packaging, maybe more
Hi all,
I've been working on updated packaging for NUT for OpenWrt. Alioth says
that there is no list at the link for the nut packaging list, so I guess
this is where to send messages.
I had opened https://github.com/networkupstools/nut/issues/602 because
of a user bug report on the OpenWrt NUT packaging
(https://github.com/openwrt/packages/issues/6843) but it turns out to
have been the

Mailman config needs updated to unbreak DKIM verification
Hello mail admin,
Currently the nut-upsdev mailing list mail is mostly getting marked as SPAM (or SPOOF) due to failed DKIM.
DKIM is trying to verify mail headers signed by the original sender, but using the mailing list DKIM key (or lack thereof).
This occurs because the DKIM mail authentication looks for a authentication key for the headers based on the HELO/ELHO user, but the message is DKIM

Compatibility of GPL 2.0 licensed SSL library
Hi all,
I'm wondering if the GPL-2.0 licensed mbedTLS (that's the version in
OpenWrt) is 'compatible' with NUT binaries (not including the Python or
Perl binaries which aren't used in OpenWrt) which is GPL 2.1+ AIUI.
Because mbedTLS is the default library for OpenWrt and NSS is not yet in
OpenWrt, and because OpenSSL is considered incompatible (I seem to
recall reading that

]UG] Dovecot 2.2.9 SSL client cert verification fails: openssl verify: OK
Greetings all,
I have verified a bug that has long been attributed to lack of knowledge
on the part of the user.
Dovecot rejects StartSSL client certificates due to reject StartSSL root
CA when doing client verification even though the appropriately
constructed ca-bundle.pem has been created and applied vi ssl_ca =
</etc/dovecot/ca-bundle.pem.
openssl verify -CAfile ca-bundle.pem

[SOLVED] Thunderbird client certification validation fails with same profile but changed IMAP server software (Re: It works for two SMTP servers and cyrus-imap, why not Dovecot?)
In hopes that searching may turn up the solution for others:
The reason client certificate validation was failing in Thunderbird when
it had previously succeeded with other servers (both IMAP and SMTP) is
precisely that: the client and profile where the same ones used to
connect to the server who's hostname hadn't changed, and email addresses
and usernames were the same, and Thunderbird
