I'm thinking about getting out of Dodge today to unwind so if you pick
it up early today I can come up and help you install it and then just
come home later in the day.

What NAS device(s) do you use? And why?
If you use any NAS (or a SAN) devices, what do you use? And I'm
referring more to larger scale network storage than your home PC or
home theater system.
We've had very good experiences with our NetGear ReadyNAS devices but
I'm in the market for something new. The NetGear's aren't the cheapest
ones around but they do what it says on the box. My only real gripe
with them is the

CD Burner that supports .ogg files?
Hi everyone. I'm fairly new to the world of Vorbis, but after hearing
the sound comparisons I was sold. I've recently begun a massive
undertaking of ripping all my CD's to hard disk in preparation for the
home theater PC that I'm in the process of building. I am a couple of
hundred CD's into this and I came across one small problem, I can't find
any CD burning software

After seeing Aaron Neville tonight (wow, what a show, 3rd row center

Penny Ice Creamery, and I had a small cone of Meyers Lemon

Just wondering why the website has not been updated?
I have found two devices that support FLAC format and I am sure there

International Talking Clocks
Hi,
Does anyone know of a list of internationally
accessible PSTN talking clocks?
I find talkjing clocks a good way to test the call
quality to a particular country.
There are a quite a few available in the US but the
only other two countries I have found numbers for are
the UK and Sweden. Other countries obviously have them
but they generally don't seem accessible from

Cinema automation cues
Hey there everyone,
I'm connection my desktop to my digital video projector to run features and
shorts programs. Is there any way to tag or embed a theora video file with
any sort of cues at certain points in the program or individual file
(feature start, end credits, feature end, etc.) that can then be turned into
pulses for theater automation systems to cue lights up, lights down, sound

Asterisk Users,
I am running Asterisk-1.4.11 with Zaptel-1.4.4 on Debian Etch System

Every time, I try to change my voicemail pin via the Sip phone, the

'mgcv' package, problem with predicting binomial (logit) data
Dear R-help list,
I?m using the mgcv package to plot predictions based on the gam function.
I predict the chance of being a (frequent) participant at theater plays vs.
not being a participant by age.
Because my outcome variable is dichotomous, I use the binomial family with
logit link function.
Dataset in attachment, code to read it in R:
data <- read.spss("pas_r.sav")

dovecot upgrade problems
Hi list,
i made an upgrade from dovecot 1.0RC15 to 1.1.20
the default installation was under /etc/dovecot.
The upgrade installation was made under /usr/local/etc.
After that i changed all the paths in the /usr/local/etc/dovecot.conf
and the dovecot-binary to work with the new installation.
Even path-changes were made for /etc/init.d/dovecot to work with the

How to get UEFI setting by shell?
Hi,
another question.With secure boot on,
I make a kernel module test.ko
Then insmod test.ko:
[root at localhost linux]# insmod test.ko
insmod: ERROR: could not insert module test.ko: Required key not available
How can I sign my test.ko for CentOS7.1?
If I set secure boot off, insmod test.ko will be successful.
