Locking up on Mac OSX when trying to run Game Maker games
My computer, a recent MacBook running 10.5.8, locks up when I'm trying to run games made in Game Maker, such as seiklus (http://autofish.net/clysm/art/video_games/seiklus/) or spelunky (http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=4017.0). I can't find any helpful errors in the command line output, here's a sample run of seiklus: fixme:richedit:RichEditWndProc_common WM_STYLECHANGING:

asp''s application object rails equivalent?
In asp there''s a built''in object, Application, which behaves like the session, but it allows you to share information among all users of the application. (http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/en/server/IIs/default.asp?url=/windows2000/en/server/IIs/htm/asp/vbob6zkv.htm) It''s just like if every user would be accessing the same session. what is the rails equivalent?

Rate limits whithin rate limits
Hi all, I''m sure I''m soing something wrong here. I am trying to set up a rate limit inside another rate limit. eg. I have a 512K rate limit on a particular VLAN. Does anybody have some tips on shaping such links? How can you get interractive traffic if you

More than one has_many :through association between the same 2 models
I wonder if you can have more than one has_many :through association between 2 models. For example... I have a model Teacher and a model Class Now, 1 Teacher works in many Classes, right?. So I need a join model like class Work < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :teacher belongs_to :class end But I also would like to know if a teacher CAN teach a class before I

[WARNING] don''t use ruby-sendfile
Hi Folks, I''ve been getting reports of people with serious stability problems in Mongrel. These problems go away instantly when they remove ruby-sendfile. If your mongrel starts up saying that you have "sendfile installed" and that it is using it then **you are wrong**. Remove the gem and don''t use it. I''ll be investigating why it doesn''t really
