How can i debug or do some further tests? I want to make sure that this is a false positive and not a rootkit. Thanky a lot in advance, ulrich

AIC for lognormal model
...still much worse than the GAMLSS. So, in my opinion, the AIC of the lognormal model should be between the AICs of the both other models. What happens here? Btw: For the lognormal model, I transformed the response variable by log(). Apart from that, I used the same formula as for the linear model. Thanky in advance for your help! will this enhance peformace ?
hi all, have anyone tried changing the tcp setting in the source files ? for eg decreasing the TCP_KEEPALIVE_TIME from 2 hours to say 10 min --> (120*60*HZ) to (10*60*HZ) in include/net/tcp.h ?? changing the parameters in static unsigned long tcp_timeouts[] in net/ipv4/netfilter/ip_conntrack_proto_tcp.c from 5 DAYS to 4 HOURS or from 30 MIN to 10 MIN or both ??? will that change tcp keep

...box with Windows and there wasn?t this time problem, but I cant warrant, that there are no hardware issues. So I was decided, that easiest way to fix this problem will be setting up the NTP. I have found many howtos, but I don?t believe them. So my question is: How to clearly set NTP in CentOS 5? I have backups of user home directories that I've shared out via samba so that my non-linux level 1 guy can restore files using the drag-n-drop. Problem is, all directories are owned by their respective user and are set 700. In order for the admin users to access these directories, I've set admin user=@SuperAdmins for the share in smb.conf. The problem is, al the admin users have

try.Silent
In an email to the help list John Chambers wrote about the function helpSilent which is in the methods package, pointing out that there is no restrictive reason to be in this package. I did not know about this function and just incorporate it in several functions of the geoR package where a much less elegant solution was being used. I guess other packages could use it as well. Speex seek with high precision
Hello everybody, I'm new to this mailing list so I'm sorry if it's the wrong place to post this. I'm developing a Speex player and I need to seek with a precision of milliseconds. I used liboggz that supposedly does just that, but it never seeks exactly where it should. For example if I use oggz_seek_units(oggz, 18450, SEEK_SET) result it's 16386 and there is a delay between

What I would like to do is to read such a table, change it (just the contents, not the format) and write it back, and this I can not do. I am getting the following error messages (3 slightly different attempts): > sqlSave(con, x, tablename =
