Code in headers
That makes sense. Someone should stick it in the coding standards? it's just thankless work Absolutely, but since slow compile times (can) nuke my productivity, I may move some code out of headers. Sincerely, Alexander Riccio -- "Change the world or go home." about.me/ariccio <http://about.me/ariccio> If left to my own devices, I will build more. ⁂ On Wed, Feb 10...

Code in headers
While investigating compile times, I noticed that there's no information in the LLVM coding standards about code in headers. Many LLVM/Clang headers have lots of complex code in headers - I'm specifically looking at the Static Analyzer projects (seemingly slowest compile times, biggest hinderance to my productivity) - that probably doesn't need to be there. Nobody likes slow compile

Is Apple the only entity that has access to this stuff or can others help? > 4) Having a few stakeholders audit the conversion...

CentOS 8 Coming When???
It's also a good time to remind people that CentOS is free-as-in-beer. The people building it are often doing a thankless job, yet just the same, one that improves the lives of countless users. Getting upset that people, who are doing something to give away for free, are taking too much time is not motivating or appreciative. Lets be patient and let the developers do their work. It will come out soon enough. :) digi...

...site-library/ # with .libPaths having this preset? I don't really care as I manage to work mostly / entirely on another OS, but I just don't understand why we do not put two and two together. But I am likely unaware of some salient issues. In any event, I appreciate the thankless work of those taking care of Windoze (ie Tomas, Jeroen, Duncan (now ex-officio), Brian, ...) [LLVMdev] Thank you for LLVM Register Allocator 3.0!
...many countless hours trying to decipher the old splitting and rewriting system. This is MUCH cleaner. So thank you Jakob and the rest of the crew that supported this effort. Register allocation is something that most LLVM users probably take for granted and working on it would seem to be a fairly thankless job. Well you have my thanks at least! IMHO, of course. So who wants to be the CentOS-Users to Fedora liaison, likely to be one of the most thankless jobs on the planet?

We can't even do that with the same distro, different version. It should be embarrassing but no one really cares enough to change it. It's thankless work in the realm of polish. I think the problem is that you simply have to draw a distinction between technology and product. The rise of the Linux desktop will never happen because Linux is not a product but a technology and a...
