OT: setting up a bridge
hi all, I am using centos3.5 for my firewall home. I would like to do some tests with bridge firewalling. When i try to create the bridge, brctl givtes me this error: br_add_bridge: Package not installed. i find some answers about this error, but the most important is the one that says driver is not loaded into kernel. In my /boot/config-2.4.21-32.0.1.EL file appears compiled as a

Samba 4 AD SmartCard Authentication Problem
Unfortunately this does not work. Example: Yes, when i give it a few Days, the client will retrieve the actual crl faster. But the auth still works. I have tried it. I revoked an cert. Installed a new win10 client and joined the domain. After login with the revoked p12 cert on a yubikey, i can see he queries the CDP and still allows the login. With certutil and a cert in DER format, i tried

Also, i do not see anything about it in /proc, and rkhunter

AIC for lognormal model
Dear all, I want to compare some different models for a dataset by QQ plots and AIC. I get the following AICs: - linear model: 19759.66 - GAMLSS model: 18702.7 - linear model with lognormal response: -7862.182 The QQ plots show that the lognormal model fits better than the linear model, but still much worse than the GAMLSS. So, in my opinion, the AIC of the lognormal model should be between the

Time delaying (or time lagging)
Hello everyone, I have problem with time delaying on my CentOS powered server. I have tried to set time in BIOS and in OS (with saving time to BIOS), but time still delaying, so after month is about five minutes delayed. In past I was using this box with Windows and there wasn?t this time problem, but I cant warrant, that there are no hardware issues. So I was decided, that easiest way to fix

...access. I would rather not run with SuperAdmins as my primary group. How can I get Samba to see my list of secondaries when determining access permission? I am running Debian testing with the stable samba 3.0 packages from samba.org. Authentication is through winbind feeding off an NT4 pdc. try.Silent
In an email to the help list John Chambers wrote about the function helpSilent which is in the methods package, pointing out that there is no restrictive reason to be in this package. I did not know about this function and just incorporate it in several functions of the geoR package where a much less elegant solution was being used. I guess other packages could use it as well. Therefore,

Samba 4 AD SmartCard Authentication Problem
I found an old bugzilla report for this behavior: https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9612 According to the statements in it, there was a patch already in version 4.16 and in heimdal 8 last year? Which option must be in the krb5.conf? I have tried kdc_pkinit_revoke and pkinit_revoke. Both have no effect. Am 19.07.2023 um 14:27 schrieb Hans Schulze via samba: > Unfortunately this

Speex seek with high precision
Hello Conrad, I'm trying to seek the way you told but I'm facing a problem. ogg_page_packets returns 164 and following code returns 189. Shouldn't it be the same, what does that means ? int res; while (true) { res = ogg_stream_packetout(&os, &op); if (res == 1) nPackets++; if (res == -1)

Speex seek with high precision
Hello everybody, I'm new to this mailing list so I'm sorry if it's the wrong place to post this. I'm developing a Speex player and I need to seek with a precision of milliseconds. I used liboggz that supposedly does just that, but it never seeks exactly where it should. For example if I use oggz_seek_units(oggz, 18450, SEEK_SET) result it's 16386 and there is a delay between

Updating a worksheet in Excel file using RODBC
Hello! I have no problem reading Excel files (each worksheet in the file is a "table" which can be read - at least in my case). What I would like to do is to read such a table, change it (just the contents, not the format) and write it back, and this I can not do. I am getting the following error messages (3 slightly different attempts): > sqlSave(con, x, tablename =

I tried this unsuccessfully: lf.med <- sapply(LF[,1:4],mean,LF[,5]) Error in mean.default(X[[1L]], ...) : 'trim' must be numeric and have length 1 With lf.med <- by(LF[,1:4],LF[,5],mean)

Please note that Windows 9x clients are not true members of a domain for reasons outlined in this article. Therefore the protocol for support Windows 9x style domain logons is completely different from NT4 domain logons and has been officially supported for some time. Did you read this document? Let me know what needs to be updated and i will take care of it. Cheers, jerry
