active record mysql query help
I''m trying to do a search function on a mysql text column. However i''m
running into a problem that i dont know how to get around.
I want to be able to find records that match the text column in some way. I
know about doing wildcard searches with % characters but i need to do this
in a backwards kind of way. I want to find records that will match some

I?ve been on this for weeks now, and couldn?t find a solution..Sorry for the long description. I figured I post many details, so you get the problem entirely, although it?s not hard to grasp.
**Situation:**
Data frame consisting of 4 million entries (total size: 250 MB). Two columns: `ID` and `TEXT`. Text strings are each up to 200 characters.
