Changing ComputerModern in postscript(...): A first attempt at contributing....
...f -u4" file.
Adopting this patch would require adding the following Latin Modern afm font
files to the R afm fonts folder:
lmr10.afm
lmbx10.afm
lmri10.afm
lmbxi10.afm
These fonts are available in the Latin Modern Fonts package. To find out
about Latin Modern see

Note, I had to leave the CM_symbol_10 file since I'm not sure that there is
a Latin Modern replacement?
Unfortunately I wasn't able to build R using Cygwin (configure works OK but

off topic A4 paper
Dear R People:
Please excuse the off topic question.
What are the dimensions of A-4 Paper, please?
Actually, the question should read, "how do I set up a LaTex file
to fix A-4 paper, please?"
Thanks much!

xtable with Sweave
Hi,
I'm using Sweave to prepare a descriptive report.
Are at least 20 tables built with xtable command of kind:
<<echo=F, results=hide>>=
q5 = factor(Q5, label=c("N?o", "Sim"))
(q5.tab = cbind(table(q5)))
@
<<echo=F, results=tex>>=
xtable(q5.tab, align="l|c", caption.placement = "top",
table.placement='H')

sweave: graphics not at the expected location in the pdf
Hi
I use sweave for excellent pdf output (thank you- Friedrich Leisch). I
have just one problem. Quite often it happens, that the graphics are not
at the place where I expect them, but (often on a separate page) later
on in the pdf. How can I fix this, means how can I define, that I want a
graphic exactly here and now in the document?
Many thanks and best regards
Christoph

Sweave - problems with underscores in variable names...
Hi all,
I've just started using the Friedrich Leisch's Sweave package to
generate LaTeX reports with results of my analyses embedded as
required.
I've encountered a bit of a problem though in the processing of the
resulting *.tex file that is as far as I can tell, down to the fact
that my variable names have underscores ('_') in their names.
