Weird login problem !!
Hello,
I have discovered what seems to me an unlogic issue in Samba.
I have a Samba logon server with login scripts based on machine names
(%m.bat).
This is what happens when I make a connection as a regular user.

Identification, computer name = testpc, ip-address 10.33.6.247
Logon script %m.bat : the net use commando's take quite some
time.(batch-file testpc.bat)
I log on as user m2000944 (uid 27419) with the passw...

Tutorial : Debian, Xen and CLUSTER / GFS Support
Hello there!
I made Debian, Xen 2.0 and CLUSTER/GFS work together :). I wrote
this little tutorial to help you setup yours. Any feedback is welcome,
except comments about W3C validation of my code :p
Note that I am talking about compiling CLUSTER with your XEN kernel,
I don''t explain how to setup a working cluster. You can find how to setup
those in official RedHat docs.

No DEFAULT or UI configuration directive found!
...a windows 10 that is acting as a DHCP and TFTP
server.
I have created folder like this:
c:\tftpboot
in that folder "pxelinux.0" and "ldlinux.c32" is located.
another folder is created:
c:\tftpboot\pxelinux.cfg
In that folder "default" is located.
I have another testpc that I want to startup with pxe, but I get this error:
"No DEFAULT or UI configuration directive found!"
Why do I get this error?

roaming profiles behavior
I have a PDC named gomer w/ IP 10.8.3.37 and a BDC named bldg1 w/ IP of
10.8.3.231, and a testpc w/ IP of 10.8.3.237. in the TCP/IP settings of
testpc, I put the WINS server as 10.8.3.231, but when I log in, the
roaming profile is stored onto gomer. Is this correct behavior? I then
changed bldg1's logon path from logon path = \\%L\profiles\%U to logon

login script - runs just the first time a user logons
...works for the
first logon after a parameter change.
4) I tried to set a "login script" parameter in smb.conf removing the
logon script parameter from tdbsam, never worked.
Same thing with another user user on the same computer, same thing on
another computer.
If I go in /var/log/samba/testpc.log I have lines :
- connect to service netlogon initially as user testuser
- closed connection to service netlogon
I always have these, the login script being executed or not.
Has anyone some suggestions on this one ?
Thanks in advance

samba 4 ad member - idmap = ad for machine accounts
...seems that using RID is the way to go. I just tried a few things:
1)
- made group, assigned unix GID
- added test PC to this group and set this group as "primary group"
- added manually to test PC account "uidnumber"
on server with samba
getent passwd MYDOMAIN\\testpc$
returns nicely testpc$ with UID and GID numbers as set in AD, but
authentication still doesn't work, i.e. no test writes to share
2)
- added GID to default "DOMAIN COMPUTERS"
rest steps are the same, except didn't need to add PC to this group
getent passwd gives s...

Asterisk WITH Swyx... Any Idea?
Hi,
I'm a student and my thesis work consist in testing
Asterisk with Swyx(SwyxWare).
My approach is to declare asterisk as h323 gateway for
the Swyxserver using oh323 Plugin.
Is there any possibility to connect Asterisk with
Swyx? how?
the outgoing call must pass from Swyxit->to
Swyxserver-> Asterisk->to PTSN
Thanks

Upload shaper problem
...I have the following shapers
RT1 ETH2 - dedicated bandwidth for Test PC 40kbps
RT2 ETH4 - dedicated bandwidth for Test PC 30kbps
RT2 ETH4 - dedicated bandwidth for users to upload is 250kbps
The thing is if I use Test PC to download from RT1 it makes straight line of
40kbps. If I use TestPC to download from RT2 the traffic varies from 3kbps
to 30kbps. It is very random. If I start a transfer on RT1 from RT2 I can
see there is much bandwidth available I can use 230kbps.
We simulated the Test PC connecting is straight on eth4 of RT2 with the same

'brctl show' shows there is an interface br0 with eth0 and eth1 enslaved to

I connect the eth1 interface to the network side, and the eth0 interface to

'ifdown eth0' and 'ifup eth0' but get the result: "no link present. Check
cable?" The test PC eth0 is configged to get an IP via DHCP, a...
