My host windows dont ping my domain
Hi, After adding my domain machine I realized that after 15 minutes it stopped pinging my domain. Interesting that this only happens in windows machines. I already checked the logs and did not notice anything. Does anyone have any light? Thanks

My host windows dont ping my domain
Hai, A copy of smb.conf is very handy, same as the running os. Follow these 2, and tell us what works and what not. https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/DNS_Administration#Testing_your_DNS_Server https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Testing_the_DNS_Name_Resolution And do the following. Clear the windows event log, reboot, and ping the domain. Now wait 15 min, ping again to confirm its still not working. Now go through you windows event logs look for errors and warnings. New Domain can't connect to localhost
...ks ok except one thing. You can try switching the hosts, like this. /etc/nsswitch.conf hosts:????????? files dns mdns4_minimal [NOTFOUND=return] I suggest you verify the dns A PTR NS records of the servers. https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/DNS_Administration https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Testing_the_DNS_Name_Resolution Greetz, Louis > -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- > Van: samba [mailto:samba-bounces at lists.samba.org] Namens > Robert A Wooldridge via samba > Verzonden: vrijdag 23 augustus 2019 17:44 > Aan: samba at lists.samba.org > Onderwerp: Re: [Samba] New Domain can't connect to...

New Domain can't connect to localhost
I've just provisioned the new AD DC domain following the steps on the wiki.? Using Debian Buster but with samba and kerberos packages from unstable.? Everything seems fine but when I do (entering the password): smbclient //localhost/netlogon -UAdministrator -c 'ls'? I get: tree connect failed: NT_STATUS_BAD_NETWORK_NAME What could be the problem here? -- Bob Wooldridge EDM
