file permissions with inherit permission + ACL's
Hi,
I have a share (testshare) where different unix groups (testgroup1,
testgroup2) should have access to. But I want that new files are only
created with 660 permissions.
Here are the ACL's of testshare:

user::rwx
group::rwx

group:testgroup2:rwx

samba 3.4 and 3.5 bug or misconfig: why is idmap uid and idmap gid needed for an AD only idmap config?
...in-users. domain-users is member of four other groups without a gid
number assigned.
After su to testuser it depends on how id is called:
srv{testuser}[/home/testuser]: id -a
uid=10309(testuser) gid=11007(testgroup)
groups=11007(testgroup),65536,65537,10010(domain-users),11009(testgroup3),11008(testgroup2)
srv{testuser}[/home/testuser]: id -a testuser

groups=10010(domain-users),11008(testgroup2),11008(testgroup2),11009(testgroup3),11009(testgroup3)
The additional ids show up as group id 65536 and 65537 in "id -a" but

significance testing for the difference in the ratio of means
...null hypothesis and p-values could be obtained by localizing the
observed value on this distribution. I am unsure of appropriate values for
B or if this method is valid at all.
Another complication would be the concern for multiple comparisons if I
wished to include additional test groups (m5 = testgroup2; m6 = testgroup2
w/ treatment; m7 = testgroup3, m8 = testgoup3 w/ treatment...etc) and how
that might be appropriately handled.
Method 2 seems the most intuitive to me. Bootstrapping this way will
likely yield appropriate Starndard Errors for the two ratios. However, I
am very much interested in...

Problems with 'ntlm_auth --require-membership-of' using Samba 3.0.6
...is a member of the
"TestGroup" group, but ntlm_auth seems to produce the incorrect output.
It appears to know that the group and user exists and the password is
valid because varying these params gives different error messages:

linux groups & NT global groups with winbindd
I posed this question earlier but it was with another question and I think
it got lost.
I have winbindd up and running and working great.
If I add NT domain users to an NT domain global group, add that group to a
local linux group in /etc/group, and then assign that local linux group
ownership of an object (file or dir) should this work? In other words, can
you still use local linux groups as
